Our Mission<\/h2>\n

To enhance the quality of people\u2019s experience of the Arts, to advocate the unique value of the arts in society and to recognise both promise and achievement in the creation of Art.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Objectives:<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Pursue a developmental approach to the Arts that takes a positive view in encouraging and assisting the value and standard of the Arts in Monaghan.<\/li>\n
  • Encourage promise and achievement in the creation of Art by providing resources, support and opportunities to individual artists and Arts groups.<\/li>\n
  • Enhance the presence, appreciation and quality of experience of the Arts<\/li>\n
  • Stimulate public interest, access and participation in the Arts and engage audiences through appropriate delivery of Arts Programming<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n


    \n<\/strong>Actions:<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Develop and address the needs and potential of particular art forms at any one time<\/li>\n
    • To maintain, develop and programme the Market House, as a dedicated Arts Venue<\/li>\n
    • To collaborate with Arts Festival in the county in allowing their development and to assist them with enhanced support through both financial and administrative assistance<\/li>\n
    • To collaborate with other Public Bodies in relation to Arts Practice and its delivery i.e. The Arts Council<\/li>\n
    • To develop partnerships in the delivery of Arts Projects and Programmes<\/li>\n
    • To encourage and assist Artists in the creation of their Art, both financially (matching an award from the Arts Council or other Arts grants, with a limit) and through assistance from the Arts Office<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      1. Supporting Artists
        \n<\/strong>Value and support the work of artists, and extend the range of opportunities for artists to develop their practice<\/li>\n
      2. \u00a0Young people and the Arts
        \n<\/strong>Increase opportunities for children and young people to create, access and participate in great art.<\/li>\n
      3. Creating Capacity
        \n<\/strong>Investing in the professional development of venues, festivals and organisations providing high-quality arts experiences.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
