This Scheme should allow the <strong>Artist to develop their art practice<\/strong> and provide Artists with the time and resources to research, reflect and critically engage with their art.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Rationale<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 Our Shared Strategic actions with the Arts Council under Priority 1 of our<u> joint framework agreement of 2020 -2027<\/u><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><u>Supporting Artists<\/u><\/strong> Value and support the work of Artists, and extend the range of opportunities for Artists to develop their practice<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>We will provide support funding to Artists who have secured external public funds for a project commission from bodies such as The Arts Council or Culture Ireland<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Policy<\/u><\/strong>: This Scheme is available to <u>professional, individual Artists<\/u>, at any stage of their career, whose principle place of <u>residence is in County Monaghan<\/u>. They might be applying or have received a bursary towards the development of their own practice from a designated National Arts Funding Body, such as The Arts Council, Culture Ireland or any State organisation which has a national remit in supporting the Arts.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Criteria and Conditions to observe <\/u><\/strong>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open to Individual Artists who work in <u>any and all Art forms<\/u><\/li>\n<li>your principle place of <u>residence must be in County Monaghan<\/u><\/li>\n<li>the Bursary or award from the statutory body must be towards <u>your own creative practice<\/u>, not as part of a Residency or in collaboration with a 3<sup>rd<\/sup> party organisation<\/li>\n<li>You should Include <u>an M.O.U. from The Arts Office<\/u> prior to submitting your application to the stated organisation, where possible.<\/li>\n<li>A copy of the \u2018Letter of Offer\u2019 indicating amount being awarded must be supplied before being considered for support.<\/li>\n<li>only <u>1 submission<\/u> will be considered for funding <u>per Artist per Year<\/u> under this Scheme. An Artist may make multiple funding requests to external bodies.<\/li>\n<li>There is no minimum amount for consideration under this scheme<\/li>\n<li>The <u>maximum amount<\/u> available under this scheme <u>will be \u20ac2,000<\/u>, this sum would be realised if an Artist was awarded <u>\u20ac10,250 or above<\/u>, from the statutory funding organisation (check below to view calculations on this scheme)<\/li>\n<li>No matter what sum awarded in bursary by the external body to the Artist, MCC\u2019s maximum value-added investment <u>will not exceed \u20ac2,000<\/u><\/li>\n<li>This Scheme limit is set on a 1<sup>st<\/sup> come basis, when a submission may be considered.<\/li>\n<li>The total budget available under this scheme in any year <u>will not exceed \u20ac10,000<\/u><\/li>\n<li>The onus is on the Artist to <u>Notify the Arts Office<\/u> of Monaghan County Council within 1 Month of being in receipt of an award, in order to be considered for this Scheme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Calculations <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>up to \u20ac3,000<\/strong> awarded as a bursary to an Artist from external sources MCC commitment @<u> 25% of sum awarded to a maximum of \u20ac750<\/u><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>From \u20ac3,001- \u20ac5,000<\/strong> if Bursary awarded to an Artist (up to \u20ac3K @ 25%) and balance\u00a0@<u>10% will not exceed \u20ac950<\/u><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>if the bursary is in the range of <strong>\u20ac5,001 &#8211; \u20ac20,000<\/strong>, (\u20ac950 up to \u20ac5K plus @ 20% of any figure thereafter<u> to a maximum sum of \u20ac2,000 <\/u>as a funding limit under this scheme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>maximum<\/strong> threshold of <strong>\u20ac2K<\/strong> of the Value-Added Scheme will be realised at <strong>\u20ac10,250<\/strong> of
