It responds to increasing demand for local food growing spaces while advancing wider climate action, environmental, and community objectives.<\/p>\n<p>The strategy is organised under 5 strategic themes:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Climate Action &amp; Biodiversity<\/strong>: Focusing on creating gardens that are climate \u2013 resilient, and that protect and enhance Biodiversity.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Food growing &amp; access:<\/strong> Enabling access to local food growing areas across the county allowing for sites to be well-designed, inclusive and safe.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Community Participation &amp; Wellbeing:<\/strong> To build strong community-led growing spaces, that encourage local participation, ownership, and collaboration.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Education &amp; Awareness:<\/strong> Supporting education and skills development, turning community gardens &amp; allotments into hubs for learning, sharing and promoting sustainable living.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Delivery Governance &amp; Support:<\/strong> Ensuring strong structures and supports are in place for communities to deliver projects.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">View the Strategy<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/monaghan.ie\/climate-action\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2026\/07\/Community-Garden-Allotment-Strategy-Draft-Monaghan-County-Council-compressed.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">View the strategy Community Garden &amp; Allotment Strategy Daft<\/a><\/strong> from Friday 3rd July 2026 until Sunday 19th July 2026.<\/p>\n<p>An Irish language version of the strategy is available on request.
