Monaghan Social Inclusion Department and Monaghan County Museum came together to produce a wonderful calendar for 2018. The calendar traces the changes in Monaghan society over a period of 60 years from 1958-2018.

Each month of the calendar looks at how legislation changed the lives of people in Monaghan. Including the arrival of electricity in rural Monaghan, women being permitted to join the Garda force and the closing of the Great Northern Railway.

This publication is a great trip back in time and well worth picking up a copy.

Copies are available in all of our branch libraries, the county Museum or by contacting
