Alerts are issued by a combination of App, Email and SMS notifications. Monaghan County Council is the data controller in respect of this data.<\/p>\n<p>Monaghan County Council creates, collects and processes a significant amount of \u2018personal data\u2019 and \u2018sensitive personal data\u2019 in various multiple formats daily. Our commitment is to ensure that the personal data supplied is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Obtained lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner<\/li>\n<li>Collected for only specified, explicit and legitimate purposes,<\/li>\n<li>Adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the purpose for which it was obtained,<\/li>\n<li>Recorded, stored accurately and where necessary kept up to date,<\/li>\n<li>Kept for no longer that is necessary, and, in a form, which permits identification of the data subject,<\/li>\n<li>Processed in a manner that ensures the appropriate security of the personal data including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing of the data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For full details of the collection, processing and sharing of your personal data by us and your rights in this regard, please see our full \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/monaghan.ie\/privacy-notice\/\">Privacy Notice<\/a> on the website.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>What data we collect and process<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The types of personal data that we will collect, and process includes your<strong> name, email address and telephone number.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Why do we collect this personal data?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We collect and process this information in order to manage and administer the relationship between you and us for the purpose of facilitating Monaghan Alerts and keeping you up to date on what is happening in your area.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Lawfulness of processing<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We process this personal data with your consent under Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR, Article 6 (1) (e) GDPR and Section 66 of the Local Government Act 2001.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Right to withdraw Consent <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting the Community Department on 047 73720 or emailing <a href=\"mailto:communityalerts@monaghancoco.ie\">communityalerts@monaghancoco.ie<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Unsubscribe Feature on Website and App<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can unsubscribe from the service by logging onto the member area on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.monaghan.ie\">www.monaghan.ie<\/a> or on the Monaghan Alerts app and following the \u2018close my account\u2019 link.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Unsubscribe by Contacting your Local Text Alert Administrator<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you selected a local text alert group when you joined the service, you can also unsubscribe by contacting the local group administrator for that text alert area.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Sharing of Personal Data <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We may share your Personal Data with selected third parties, including for example our Service Provider. We may also share your data with other third parties who assist us in fulfilling our functions.
