CL\u00c1R 2019 includes new measures to support rural communities. Measures 1, 2 and 3(c) will be managed by Monaghan County Council and Measure 3 (a) &amp; (b) will be managed directly by the Department of Rural and Community Development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The measures being funded under 2019 CL\u00c1R Funding Scheme are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Measure 1:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Support for Schools\/Community Safety measures<br \/>\n<strong>Measure 2:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Play Areas (including Multi-Use Games Areas)<br \/>\n<strong>Measure 3:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Community Wellbeing Supports (new in 2019), comprising:<\/p>\n<p>a &#8211; First Response Support<\/p>\n<p>b &#8211; Mobility and Cancer Care Transport<\/p>\n<p>c &#8211; Sensory Gardens<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Measure 1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Support for Schools\/Community Safety Measures <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Up to 90% funding available<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligible Interventions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Amber Safety Lights<\/li>\n<li>Child Safety Lights<\/li>\n<li>Speed Safety Lights<\/li>\n<li>Pedestrian Crossings<\/li>\n<li>Access footpaths<\/li>\n<li>Bus Shelters<\/li>\n<li>Car Parking Facilities<\/li>\n<li>Public Lighting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Grant Range varies but up to \u20ac 50,000<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Measure 2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Play Areas (including Multi Use Game Area &#8211; MUGAs) <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Up to 90% funding available<\/p>\n<p>Grant Range \u20ac 5,000 to \u20ac 50,000<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Measure 3 (a &amp; b) Community Wellbeing Supports <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>a &#8211; First Response Support Measures <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>b \u2013 Mobility &amp; Cancer Care Transport<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Managed directly by the Department of Rural &amp; Community Development, Rural Schemes, Government Offices, Ballina, Co Mayo F26 E8N6 \u2013 Phone &#8211; (076)1064900<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Measure 3 (c) Community Wellbeing Supports<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>c- Sensory Gardens<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s programme will also, for the first time, provide funding for the development of specialist sensory gardens and complementary play equipment. These gardens are designed to stimulate the senses and can be of benefit in enhancing the quality of life for people with a diverse range of life challenges.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Measures 3a and 3b will mainly be operated directly by the Department of Rural &amp; Community Development and will be open to established organisations\/groups that operate entirely on a voluntary basis, and who are involved in (i) emergency rescue\/first response efforts or (ii) in the provision of transport services, free of charge, to people requiring wheelchair accessible vehicles to access day care or other medical therapy or respite services and\/or those requiring transport to\/from hospitals for treatment under the National Cancer Care Programme.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Measure 3(c<\/strong>) will be operated by Local Authorities as lead partners, in cooperation with voluntary groups involved in the provision of services for people with disabilities.
