{"id":556,"date":"2017-04-27T16:57:10","date_gmt":"2017-04-27T15:57:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/monaghan.ie\/communitydevelopment\/?p=556"},"modified":"2017-09-22T14:09:04","modified_gmt":"2017-09-22T13:09:04","slug":"ulster-canal-greenway-development-strategy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/monaghan.ie\/communitydevelopment\/2017\/04\/27\/ulster-canal-greenway-development-strategy\/","title":{"rendered":"Ulster Canal Greenway Development Strategy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Waterways Ireland, and their project partners Monaghan County Council, Cavan County Council, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council and the Mid Ulster Council, propose to develop a long-distance Greenway in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, linking Castle Saunderson in County Cavan to Charlemont in County Armagh mainly along the route of the disused Ulster Canal and using sections of disused railway infrastructure. The proposals for development of these greenway sections are provided within the Ulster Canal Greenway Development Strategy.<\/p>\n<form id=\"aspnetForm\" action=\"\/Ulster-Canal-Greenway-Development?\" method=\"post\">\n<div id=\"s4-workspace\">\n<div id=\"s4-bodyContainer\">\n<div>\n<section class=\"medPadding\">\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"medium-12 columns\">\n<div id=\"ctl00_PlaceHolderMain_PageContent__ControlWrapper_RichHtmlField\" class=\"ms-rtestate-field\">\n<p>The draft Ulster Canal Greenway Development Strategy and associated environmental reports will be available for public consultation from the 28th April 2017 until the 21st July 2017. As part of this public consultation there will be four public information events held, which will demonstrate the proposed greenway routes, with cross sections, related imagery, and interactive mapping available.
