Our commitment is to ensure that the personal data supplied is:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Obtained lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner<br \/>\n\u2022 Collected for only specified, explicit and legitimate purposes,<br \/>\n\u2022 Adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the purpose for which it was obtained,<br \/>\n\u2022 Recorded, stored accurately and where necessary kept up to date,<br \/>\n\u2022 Kept for no longer than is necessary, and, in a form, which permits identification of the data subject,<br \/>\n\u2022 Processed in a manner that ensures the appropriate security of the personal data including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing of the data.<\/p>\n<p>For full details of the collection, processing and sharing of your personal data by us and your rights in this regard, please see our full <a href=\"https:\/\/monaghan.ie\/privacy-notice\/\">Privacy Notice<\/a> on the website.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What data we collect and process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The types of personal data that we will collect, and process includes your name, address, Eircode, email, phone number, date of birth, citizenship, occupation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We collect the following special category personal data.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Health<\/p>\n<p><strong>What information about you is obtained from others<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Data may be sourced from the Department of Social Protection Death Event Publishing Service (DEPS), Monaghan County Council Revenue Collectors, other Local Authorities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why do we collect this personal data?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We collect and process this information in order to manage and administer the relationship between you and us for the purpose of validating your application for entry on the Live Register of Electors. Your contact details are required in the event that information is not clear and needs to be verified.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lawfulness of processing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We process this personal data in the exercise of official authority vested in us as the controller under The Electoral Act 1992 as amended and Article 6(1)(e) of GDPR, 2016<\/p>\n<p><strong>We process your Special Category Personal Data.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Where necessary and proportionate for the performance of the statutory function conferred on us under The Electoral Act 1992.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sharing of Personal Data<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We may share your Personal Data with selected third parties and other government agencies, where required to do so by law for example elected members, revenue collectors, Co Registrar. We may also share your data with other Local Authorities, suppliers and other third parties who assist us in fulfilling our functions.
