With the long evening upon us, hundreds of volunteers from right around County Monaghan from Killany to Carrickroe will be giving up their free time to get involved in this year\u2019s Spring Clean. Now in its 20th<\/sup> year, Spring Clean is Ireland\u2019s biggest and most successful anti- litter initiative.<\/p>\n

Monaghan County Council provide a range of supports to communities who wish to participate from provision of free litter pickers and bags and bag collection to a skip service for the biggest clean ups.<\/p>\n

If you would like to get involved here are some simple steps<\/p>\n

  1. For litter pickers and bags please contact your local Municipal District Office<\/li>\n
  2. For bag collection or skip please contact Environmental Services \u00a0on 042 9661240 or \u00a0litter@monaghancoco.ie<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. All groups should register with www.nationalspringclean.org<\/a>, once your event is registered you will be insured by National Spring Clean.<\/li>\n
  4. National Spring Clean will also provide you with some resources like tabards and bags<\/li>\n
  5. Monaghan County Council\u2019s Road Safety Officer currently has some free high vis vests, Adrian can be contacted on roadsafetyofficer@monaghancoco.ie<\/a><\/li>\n
