Monaghan County Council is the data controller in respect of this data.<\/p>\n<p>Monaghan County Council creates, collects and processes a significant amount of \u2018personal data\u2019 and \u2018sensitive personal data\u2019 in various multiple formats daily. Our commitment is to ensure that the personal data supplied is:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Obtained lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner<\/li>\n<li>Collected for only specified, explicit and legitimate purposes,<\/li>\n<li>Adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the purpose for which it was obtained,<\/li>\n<li>Recorded, stored accurately and where necessary kept up to date,<\/li>\n<li>Kept for no longer that is necessary, and, in a form, which permits identification of the data subject,<\/li>\n<li>Processed in a manner that ensures the appropriate security of the personal data including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing of the data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For full details of the collection, processing and sharing of your personal data by us and your rights in this regard, please see our full \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/monaghan.ie\/privacy-notice\/\">Privacy Notice<\/a> on the website.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>What data we collect and process<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The types of personal data that we will collect, and process includes your name, address, email, telephone number, photographs, vehicle registration number, contact details of vehicle repairer,\u00a0 health care professional name and contact details for e.g. General Practitioner, Physiotherapist etc.<strong> \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We collect the following Special Category Personal Data:-\u00a0 Health data in respect of your claim for e.g. medical report from your General Practitioner.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Why do we collect this personal data?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We collect and process this information in order to manage and administer the relationship between you and us for the purpose of \u00a0processing your claim.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Lawfulness of processing<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We process this data for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest and in exercise of official authority vested in us as the controller under the Civil Liability Acts, Person Injuries Assessment Board Acts, Health &amp; Safety Acts, Planning &amp; Development Acts, Roads Acts, Building Control Acts, Housing Acts, Local Government Sanitary Services Acts amending to principal act the Public Heath (Ireland) Acts, District Court Acts as amended Rules of Supervisor Courts, Rules of Circuit Court, Civil Liability and Court Acts, Common Law, Local Government Reform Act 2014 and Article 6 (I) (e) GDPR.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Sharing of Personal Data <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We may share your Personal Data with selected third parties, including for example Local Government Audit Services and government departments and agencies, Irish Public Bodies Insurance Company, Solicitors \/ Legal Team, third party investigators, Monaghan County Council departments, Private Contractors, semi state contractors where required to do so by law. We may also share your data with other Local Authorities, and other third parties who assist us in fulfilling our functions.
