{"id":946,"date":"2022-06-30T09:00:06","date_gmt":"2022-06-30T08:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/monaghan.ie\/finance\/?p=946"},"modified":"2022-06-29T14:09:46","modified_gmt":"2022-06-29T13:09:46","slug":"submissions-sought-from-the-public-on-local-adjustment-factor-for-property-tax-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/monaghan.ie\/finance\/2022\/06\/30\/submissions-sought-from-the-public-on-local-adjustment-factor-for-property-tax-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Submissions Sought from the Public on Local Adjustment Factor for Property Tax"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Finance (Local Property Tax) Act 2012 (as amended), makes specific provision that elected members of a local authority may pass a formal resolution to vary the basic rate of the Local Property Tax for their administrative area by a percentage known as the local adjustment factor.<\/p>\n<p>At the meeting set by Monaghan County Council to consider this matter, the members may set a local adjustment factor within the range of +\/- 15% of the basic rate, or, may decide not to adjust the basic rate.
