(<\/span><span data-scheme-color=\"@212529,,\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">ie<\/span><span data-scheme-color=\"@212529,,\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">) Before you can apply for RAS, you must\u00a0be a qualified social housing <\/span><span data-scheme-color=\"@212529,,\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">applicant(s).<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"8226\" data-font=\"Arial,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"0\" data-aria-posinset=\"3\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><span data-scheme-color=\"@212529,,\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">The applicant must have a right to permanent residence in the state.<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"8226\" data-font=\"Arial,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"0\" data-aria-posinset=\"4\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><span data-scheme-color=\"@212529,,\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">The Council pays the full rent to the landlord on behalf of the tenant.<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"8226\" data-font=\"Arial,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"0\" data-aria-posinset=\"5\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><span data-scheme-color=\"@212529,,\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">Landlords must register tenancies with the Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) and <\/span><span data-scheme-color=\"@212529,,\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">the tenancies are governed by the Residential Tenancies Act 2004.<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"8226\" data-font=\"Arial,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"0\" data-aria-posinset=\"6\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><span data-scheme-color=\"@212529,,\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">The property must meet minimum standards for private rental accommodation as <\/span><span data-scheme-color=\"@212529,,\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">determined by the housing authority.<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"8226\" data-font=\"Arial,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"0\" data-aria-posinset=\"7\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><span data-scheme-color=\"@212529,,\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">Deposits are not required since the Council has entered into a contract with the <\/span><span data-scheme-color=\"@212529,,\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">landlord.<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"8226\" data-font=\"Arial,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"0\" data-aria-posinset=\"8\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><span data-scheme-color=\"@212529,,\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">The landlord must agree to the transfer of the tenancy to RAS.<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"8226\" data-font=\"Arial,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"0\" data-aria-posinset=\"9\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><span data-scheme-color=\"@212529,,\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">The housing authority will pay the agreed monthly rent to the landlord on behalf of <\/span><span data-scheme-color=\"@212529,,\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">the tenant.<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"8226\" data-font=\"Arial,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"0\" data-aria-posinset=\"10\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><span data-scheme-color=\"@212529,,\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">The landlord must be tax compliant.<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li data-charcodes=\"8226\" data-font=\"Arial,Sans-Serif\" data-buautonum=\"8\" data-margin=\"0\" data-aria-posinset=\"11\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><span data-scheme-color=\"@212529,,\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">Non-residential landlords are also liable to a 20% tax deduction made monthly. The <\/span><span data-scheme-color=\"@212529,,\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">Landlord may claim tax-credits on this deduction from Revenue.<\/span>\u200b<\/li>\n<li
