During the course of our activities we will collect, store and process personal data about Private Landlords. Monaghan County Council is the data controller in respect of this data.<br \/>\nMonaghan County Council creates, collects and processes a significant amount of \u2018personal data\u2019 and \u2018sensitive personal data\u2019 in various multiple formats daily. Our commitment is to ensure that the personal data supplied is:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Obtained lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner<\/li>\n<li>Collected for only specified, explicit and legitimate purposes,<\/li>\n<li>Adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the purpose for which it was obtained,<\/li>\n<li>Recorded, stored accurately and where necessary kept up to date,<\/li>\n<li>Kept for no longer that is necessary, and, in a form, which permits identification of the data subject,<\/li>\n<li>Processed in a manner that ensures the appropriate security of the personal data including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing of the data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For full details of the collection, processing and sharing of your personal data by us and your rights in this regard, please see our full <a href=\"https:\/\/monaghan.ie\/privacy-notice\/\">Privacy Notice<\/a> on the website.<br \/>\nWhat data we collect and process<\/p>\n<p>The types of personal data that we will collect, and process includes your<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Landlords\/Agents: Name, Address, Eircode, Rented property address, Telephone Number, RTB Number<\/li>\n<li>Tenants: Names, Telephone numbers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>We do not collect any Special Category Personal Data<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Why do we collect this personal data?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We collect and process this information in order to manage and administer the relationship between you and us for the purpose of<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implementation of the Private Rented Inspections programme<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lawfulness of processing<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>We process this personal data <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under Article (6)(1)(e) of GDPR<\/li>\n<li>In the exercise of official authority vested in us as the controller under the Housing Acts 1966 &#8211; 2014 and Regulations as amended<\/li>\n<li>Regulating the Housing (Standards for Rented Houses) Regulations 2017<\/li>\n<li>Local Government Act 2001 (as amended by Local Government Reform Act 2014)<\/li>\n<li>Residential Tenancies Act 2014<\/li>\n<li>Residential Tenancies (Amendment) Act 2015.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sharing of Personal Data <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We may share your Personal Data with selected third parties, including for example Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government, Department of Social Protection and other government agencies, where required to do so by law.
