Monaghan County Libraries in association with Monaghan Makers have launched a series of new programmes designed to whet the appetite of the creative and the curious. Under the title of ‘The Makers Journey’, this action packed, multi skills programme is designed to inspire young people to explore their interests using interactive creative technologies.

‘The Makers Journey’ includes a celebration of arts, technical design, engineering and computer software including multi-media and interactive technologies. The inventor workshops are being delivered one day a week running from February to June 2018.  Participants are exploring different ways in how things are made, using idea generation, design development, electronic circuits and cutting edge craft technologies. The desire to ‘Make’ can awaken a drive for Makers to pursue all kinds of exciting projects, as they develop new practical skills and knowledge, of how to bring an idea from inspiration to creation.
