Monaghan County Council is the data controller in respect of this data.<\/p>\n<p>Monaghan County Council creates, collects and processes a significant amount of \u2018personal data\u2019 and \u2018sensitive personal data\u2019 in various multiple formats daily. Our commitment is to ensure that the personal data supplied is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Obtained lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner<\/li>\n<li>Collected for only specified, explicit and legitimate purposes,<\/li>\n<li>Adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the purpose for which it was obtained,<\/li>\n<li>Recorded, stored accurately and where necessary kept up to date,<\/li>\n<li>Kept for no longer that is necessary, and, in a form, which permits identification of the data subject,<\/li>\n<li>Processed in a manner that ensures the appropriate security of the personal data including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing of the data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Data Protection Policy<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For full details of the collection, processing and sharing of your personal data by us and your rights in this regard, please see our full \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/monaghan.ie\/privacy-notice\/\">Privacy Notice<\/a> on the website.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>What data we collect and process<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The types of personal data that we will collect and process includes:<\/p>\n<p>Name, Address, Phone Number, Email Address, Photo ID<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Why do we collect this personal data?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We collect and process this information in order to manage and administer Open library access in Carrickmacross Branch Library. The data will be used to verify\/identify MOL members and provide access to the library branch for MOL members after hours.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Lawfulness of processing<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Processing this data is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest and in exercise of official authority vested in us as the controller Monaghan County Council [Article 6(1)(e) of the General Data Protection Regulations, 2016]. Data Protection Acts 1988-2018 as amended and the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), Local Government Act 2001, Local Government Reform Act 2014, Public Libraries Act 1947.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Sharing of Personal Data <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Monaghan County Council may, from time to time, have to share personal data with other local authorities, organisations or entities in Ireland who assist us in fulfilling our functions. Where this is necessary Monaghan County Council shall have regard to the security and integrity of the data and will minimise the data shared.<\/p>\n<p>The data obtained and processed for this activity may be shared with the supplier of the MOL system, the alarm monitoring company, the CCTV system support company and the Gardai.<\/p>\n<p>Further information regarding the sharing of your personal data can be found in our Privacy Notice which is available at: <a href=\"https:\/\/monaghan.ie\/privacy-notice\/\">Privacy Notice<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Retention of Personal Data<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The data obtained and processed as part of this activity will be retained for the following period:<\/p>\n<p>Personal data will be retained for the duration of MOL membership which is valid for 12 months. Data is deleted periodically if membership is not renewed annually.
