Monaghan County Council is the data controller in respect of this data.<\/p>\n<p>Monaghan County Council creates, collects and processes a significant amount of \u2018personal data\u2019 and \u2018sensitive personal data\u2019 in various multiple formats daily. The data will be used for correspondence with guardians of participants attending regular events in branch eg book clubs, parent and toddler groups, storytelling.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Lawfulness of processing<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Processing this data is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest and in exercise of official authority vested in us as the controller Monaghan County Council [Article 6(1)(e) of the General Data Protection Regulations, 2016]. Children First Act 2015, Data Protection Acts 1988-2018 as amended and the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), Local Government Act 2001, Local Government Reform Act 2014, Public Libraries Act 1947.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Sharing of Personal Data <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Monaghan County Council may, from time to time, have to share personal data with other local authorities, organisations or entities in Ireland who assist us in fulfilling our functions.
