In doing so it helps support the employment of conservation professionals and craftspeople in the repair of the historic built environment.\u00a0 The scheme is designed to assist the owners and\/or occupiers of structures\/properties that are protected under the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended). \u00a0It will be administered by Monaghan County Council\u2019s Planning Section.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The categories of structures\/properties eligible for funding under this scheme are:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Protected Structures<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Proposed Protected Structures <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Structures\/properties in Architectural Conservation Areas (ACA)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Vernacular Structures \u2013 <\/strong>where a vernacular structure is also a Protected Structure or within an ACA it is eligible for grants of up to \u20ac50,000, otherwise the maximum allowable grant is \u20ac30,000 for a vernacular structure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Funding available<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The BHIS scheme will provide grants of <strong>between<\/strong> <strong>\u20ac2,500<\/strong> <strong>and \u20ac50,000<\/strong> for the conservation of historic structures.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Circular, guidance booklet and application form are provided below.
