Monaghan County Council is the data controller in respect of this data.<\/p>\n<p>Monaghan County Council creates, collects and processes a significant amount of \u2018personal data\u2019 and \u2018sensitive personal data\u2019 in various multiple formats daily. Our commitment is to ensure that the personal data supplied is:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Obtained lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner<\/li>\n<li>Collected for only specified, explicit and legitimate purposes,<\/li>\n<li>Adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the purpose for which it was obtained,<\/li>\n<li>Recorded, stored accurately and where necessary kept up to date,<\/li>\n<li>Kept for no longer that is necessary, and, in a form, which permits identification of the data subject,<\/li>\n<li>Processed in a manner that ensures the appropriate security of the personal data including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing of the data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For full details of the collection, processing and sharing of your personal data by us and your rights in this regard, please see our full \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/monaghan.ie\/privacy-notice\/\">Privacy Notice<\/a> on the website.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>What data we collect and process<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The types of personal data that we will collect, and process includes your <strong>name, address, telephone, email address, details of land holdings and folio number.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>We do not collect any special categories of personal data.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Why do we collect this personal data?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We collect and process this information in order to manage and administer the relationship between you and us for the purpose of public consultation when administering<strong> the Compulsory Purchase of land for the purpose of building necessary infrastructure e.g roads, cycle paths.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Lawfulness of processing<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We process this personal data<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under Article 6 (1) (e) GDPR and<\/li>\n<li>in the exercise of official authority vested in us as the controller and as the Roads Authority for Co. Monaghan under the Local Government Act 2001, the Roads Act 1993, the Housing Act 1966 and the Planning &amp; Development Act 2000.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Sharing of Personal Data <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We may share your Personal Data with selected third parties, including for example the funding government Department such as the Department<strong> of Transport, Transport Infrastructure Ireland, our legal team, Consultants working on behalf of the council <\/strong>and other government agencies where required to do so by law. We may also share your data with other Local Authorities, suppliers, law agents and other third parties who assist us in fulfilling our functions.
