{"id":1520,"date":"2022-08-25T09:26:18","date_gmt":"2022-08-25T08:26:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/monaghan.ie\/roadtransport\/?p=1520"},"modified":"2024-11-19T15:38:59","modified_gmt":"2024-11-19T15:38:59","slug":"insintallation-of-a-pathway-and-ancillary-works-on-lurgan-hill-mullinarry-carrickmacross-co-monaghan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/monaghan.ie\/roadtransport\/2022\/08\/25\/insintallation-of-a-pathway-and-ancillary-works-on-lurgan-hill-mullinarry-carrickmacross-co-monaghan\/","title":{"rendered":"InsIntallation of a Pathway and Ancillary Works on Lurgan Hill, Mullinarry, Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Section 38<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Legislative Procedure for Traffic Calming Procedures under the Road Traffic Act 1994<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Under the <\/strong><strong>Road Traffic Act 1994 (As Amended) A road authority may, in the interest of the safety and convenience of road users, provide such traffic calming measures as they consider desirable in respect of public roads in their charge.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994 (As Amended) of the following scheme:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Installation of a Pathway and Ancillary Works on Lurgan Hill, Mullinarry, Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The proposed scheme will consist of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Installation of a new Pathway along the LHS of the Lurgan Hill starting at the junction of Mullanary Road and connecting to existing footway at Crann Nua Housing Development, Carrickmacross.<\/li>\n<li>Erection of new masonry walls and landscaping throughout the scheme.<\/li>\n<li>Relocation of all affected 3<sup>rd<\/sup> party utilities where required along the length of the scheme.<\/li>\n<li>Accommodation Works to all Associated Landowners.<\/li>\n<li>Installation of Drainage pipework where required.<\/li>\n<li>All associated site works.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In accordance with Section 38 of the above-mentioned legislation, Monaghan County Council, as the competent roads authority has concluded that the above scheme complies with relevant section of the legislation, based on the nature, size and location of the proposed scheme.<\/p>\n<p>Plans and particulars of the proposed scheme are available for inspection at the offices of the <strong>Road Section, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Armagh Road, Monaghan and also at Carrickmacross-Castleblayney MD Office, Carrickmacross Civic Offices, Riverside Road, Carrickmacross, Co.
