{"id":1522,"date":"2022-08-25T09:27:52","date_gmt":"2022-08-25T08:27:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/monaghan.ie\/roadtransport\/?p=1522"},"modified":"2024-11-19T15:38:59","modified_gmt":"2024-11-19T15:38:59","slug":"installation-of-a-pathway-with-street-lighting-and-to-include-cushion-ramps-on-the-lt21501-link-road-at-maghernarney-smithboro-co-monaghan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/monaghan.ie\/roadtransport\/2022\/08\/25\/installation-of-a-pathway-with-street-lighting-and-to-include-cushion-ramps-on-the-lt21501-link-road-at-maghernarney-smithboro-co-monaghan\/","title":{"rendered":"Installation of a Pathway with Street Lighting, and to include Cushion Ramps on the LT21501 Link Road at Maghernarney, Smithboro, Co Monaghan."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Section 38<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Legislative Procedure for Traffic Calming Procedures under the Road Traffic Act 1994<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Under the <\/strong><strong>Road Traffic Act 1994 (As Amended) A road authority may, in the interest of the safety and convenience of road users, provide such traffic calming measures as they consider desirable in respect of public roads in their charge.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994 (As Amended) of the following scheme:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Installation of a Pathway with Street Lighting, and to include Cushion Ramps on the LT21501 Link Road at Maghernarney, Smithboro, Co Monaghan.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The proposed scheme will consist of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Installation of a new Pathway along the LT21501 Link road from Maghernarney &amp; N54.<\/li>\n<li>Provision of an uncontrolled Pedestrian Crossing<\/li>\n<li>Traffic Calming Measures ie.
