{"id":2597,"date":"2024-10-10T13:45:42","date_gmt":"2024-10-10T12:45:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/monaghan.ie\/roadtransport\/?p=2597"},"modified":"2024-10-10T13:45:42","modified_gmt":"2024-10-10T12:45:42","slug":"temporary-closing-of-roads-n2-national-primary-route-derry-to-monaghan-road-closure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/monaghan.ie\/roadtransport\/2024\/10\/10\/temporary-closing-of-roads-n2-national-primary-route-derry-to-monaghan-road-closure\/","title":{"rendered":"Temporary Closing of Roads  &#8211; N2 National Primary route Derry to Monaghan Road Closure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>N2 National Primary route Derry to Monaghan Road Closure <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Monaghan County Council gives notice to extend the following road closure of the N2 National Primary route (Derry to Monaghan) from its junction with L5161 (1.3km north of Silverhill Duck, Emyvale) to its junction with L1160 (1.3km south of Emyvale village).<\/p>\n<p>This is to facilitate evening\/night-time road pavement repairs from 7pm to 7am on each day of the closure, in the village of Emyvale from the entrance of Silverhill Duck commercial premises, on the northern side of Emyvale, to the Mountain Water Bridge, on the southern side of Emyvale.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dates:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Friday 11<sup>th<\/sup> October from 7pm to Saturday 12<sup>th<\/sup> October at 7am.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Saturday 12<sup>th<\/sup> October from 7pm to Sunday 13<sup>th<\/sup> October at 7am.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sunday 13<sup>th<\/sup> October from 7pm to Monday 14<sup>th<\/sup> October at 7am. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Start and End Townlands affected are:<\/strong> Lenagh to Carrigans<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Diversion Routes <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>National Route &amp; HGV Route:<\/u><\/strong><u> All Traffic Including HGV\u2019s\u00a0 travelling from the North<\/u><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Traffic travelling to Monaghan\/Dublin<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Traffic from Aughnacloy to continue on the A28 Armagh Road reaching the village of Caledon.\u00a0 In Caledon traffic to make a right turn on Main street\/A28 and continue to Armagh where it will make a left turn onto the A3, followed by a right turn onto Irish street\/A3.\u00a0 Traffic will continue on the A3 then right turn at the Monaghan road\/A3.\u00a0 Traffic to continue on the A3 via Middletown following onto the N12 in Co. Monaghan.
