Inniskeen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>Newspaper Notice<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Section 38<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Legislative Procedure for Traffic Calming Procedures under the Road Traffic Act 1994<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Under the <\/strong><strong>Road Traffic Act 1994 (As Amended) A road authority may, in the interest of the safety and convenience of road users, provide such traffic calming measures as they consider desirable in respect of public roads in their charge.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994 (As Amended) of the following scheme:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Low Cost Junction Tightening Inniskeen at Junction of L8602 Moyles Rd and L4622 Inniskeen Rd Inniskeen Co Monaghan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The proposed scheme will consist of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provision of kerbing, build outs,<\/li>\n<li>Provision of pedestrian crossing on L8602 Moyles Rd<\/li>\n<li>Provision of new pedestrian footway on L8602 Moyles Rd<\/li>\n<li>Provision of additional traffic calming signage<\/li>\n<li>Improvements to existing Drainage network.<\/li>\n<li>All associated site works.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In accordance with Section 38 of the above-mentioned legislation, Monaghan County Council, as the competent roads authority has concluded that the above scheme complies with the relevant section of the legislation, based on the nature, size, and location of the proposed scheme.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Plans and particulars of the proposed scheme are available for inspection at the offices of the <strong>Road Section, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Armagh Road, Monaghan (047) 30597, Castleblayney Library Gate Lodges 2, Market Square Castleblayney and also at Castleblayney\/ Carrickmacross MD Office, Civic Offices Riverside Road Carrickmacross during office hours from the 17<sup>th<\/sup> October 2024. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Submissions and observations in relation to the proposed works may be made in writing to the <strong>Roads Section, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Armagh Road, Monaghan, and Castleblayney\/ Carrickmacross MD Office, Civic Offices Riverside Road Carrickmacross<\/strong> up to 5pm on <strong>Tuesday 19<sup>th<\/sup> November 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 ____________________________<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Signed: <\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Kevin West,<\/p>\n<p>A\/Senior Engineer &#8211;
