Monaghan.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this trial is to assess the\u00a0feasibility and operability\u00a0of a permanent shuttle system that would provide safe pedestrian and cyclist facilities\u00a0across the bridge, which currently lacks such infrastructure due to its narrow width.<\/p>\n<p>The measures to be installed will include<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Temporary Traffic Signals to control traffic over the bridge to one way flow<\/li>\n<li>Installation of temporary shared path over the bridge along the eastern parapet.<\/li>\n<li>Signalised pedestrian crossing on the L4630 at the St Daig\u2019s Church\/Round Tower.<\/li>\n<li>Courtesy shuttle system under the railway bridge on L4630.<\/li>\n<li>Enhanced safety for pedestrians and cyclists wishing to cross the bridge.<\/li>\n<li>Improved road safety for road users.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The system is to be installed commencing<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>From: \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Thursday 2<sup>nd<\/sup> October 2025<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>To: \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Thursday 30<sup>th<\/sup> October 2025<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Times: \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 24 hours, 7 days a week, for 4 weeks duration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It will then be decommissioned after this period and the original road layout reinstated upon completion of the trial period.
