Temporary Closing of Roads – Road Closed: National Primary Road N12, from Coolshannagh Roundabout to the townland of Garron.

Monaghan County Council intends to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan.

Dates of Closure:            Tuesday 4th Oct to Thursday 6th Oct 2022 inclusive.

Road Closed:                    National Primary Road N12, from Coolshannagh Roundabout to the townland of Garron.

Times:                                  9am – 6pm 

To Facilitate:                      Road Pavement Rehabilitation Works.

Every effort will be made to minimise delays.

Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned road with the Head of Roads, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than 20th September, 2022.  Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection to Road Closure”. Monaghan County Council wishes to advise of the following road closure in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan.

Dates:  Between Sunday 11th September 2022 and Friday 16th September 2022 (24 hr closure)

Diversion Route:

Traffic wishing to proceed on the R186 from the R186 will be diverted right at Tydavnet onto the L1171/L1170, left onto the N2, left onto A5 and left onto A4

Traffic wishing to proceed on the R213 from Clogher will be diverted along the A4, right onto A5, right onto N2 and the right onto L1171/1170

Diversion Routes:

Traffic coming from the North via Glaslough Street, wishing to access the Clones Road

(N54), or the Cootehill Road (R188), or the Ballybay Road (R162), may do so via Dublin Street, Macartan Road

Traffic coming from the South, via Dawson Street, wishing to access Dublin Street, may do so via North Rd (N54)

Taxi Rank outside of Courthouse to be temporarily relocated to the North Road alongside the DV8 premises

Local and emergency services access will be catered for at all times.

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Traffic wishing to travel on the R-180 from Lough Egish in the direction of Ballybay town will be diverted onto the R-181 at Lough Egish crossroads, then turning right onto the R162, then turning right at the T-junction and continuing along the R162 to Ballybay town.

Temporary Closing of Roads – R-182-1 in the Townlands of Annyart/Lurganmore Co. Monaghan

Monaghan County Council gives notice of intention to close the following road in the Municipal District of Carrickmacross/Castleblayney in County Monaghan:

Date of Closure:               Monday 12th September 2022 to Friday 23rd September 2022 (24 hr closure)

 To Facilitate:                      Bridge Rehabilitation Works.

 Roads Closed:                    R-182-1 in the Townlands of Annyart/Lurganmore Co. Monaghan

 

Division Route:

Traffic wishing to travel on the R-182-1 from Frankford bridge in the direction of Newtownhamilton will be diverted by remaining on the R-181-2 at Derrygreevy bridge to the Northern Ireland border, then continuing along the B32/B3 to Keady town, then turning right on to the A29, then continuing along the A29 to Newtownhamiliton. For traffic wishing to continue to Oram, they will be diverted to turn off the A29 onto the A25 and continue along this road until the Northern Ireland border, then continue along the R182.

 Traffic wishing to travel from the Townland of Lurganmore to Castleblayney will be diverted by following the R182 to the Northern Ireland border, then continue on the A25, then turn left on to the A29 to Newtownhamiliton, then continue on the A29 to Keady, then turn right on to the B3 and continue along the B3/B32 to Castleblayney.

 All Detours will be signposted to direct the traffic. (R-182- Local Access only, no through road at the Bridge Works between Frankford bridge and the junction of the R182/L-76003 at the Nest Box Egg factory).
