Monaghan County Council intends to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan.

Dates of Closure:            Tuesday 4^th Oct to Thursday 6^th Oct 2022 inclusive.

Road Closed:                    National Primary Road N12, from Coolshannagh Roundabout to the townland of Garron.

Times:                                  9am – 6pm 

To Facilitate:                      Road Pavement Rehabilitation Works.

Every effort will be made to minimise delays.

Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned road with the Head of Roads, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than 20^th September, 2022.  Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection to Road Closure”. Monaghan County Council wishes to advise of the following road closure in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan.

 Road Closed:    R 186 in the Townlands of Bragan and Drumfurrer

Dates:  Between Sunday 11^th September 2022 and Friday 16^th September 2022 (24 hr closure)

To facilitate: Road Improvement Works

Diversion Route:

Traffic wishing to proceed on the R186 from the R186 will be diverted right at Tydavnet onto the L1171/L1170, left onto the N2, left onto A5 and left onto A4

Traffic wishing to proceed on the R213 from Clogher will be diverted along the A4, right onto A5, right onto N2 and the right onto L1171/1170

 

Monaghan County Council gives notice of its intention to close the following roads in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan:

Date:                   Saturday 1^st October 2022 (07:30am to 8:00pm)

To Facilitate:      Monaghan Street Food Festival

Roads Closed:    LS5515 – Lower Mill Street between North Road and Church Square

R867 – From Market Street to the Diamond (including Church Square), Monaghan Town

 

Diversion Routes:

Traffic coming from the North via Glaslough Street, wishing to access the Clones Road

(N54), or the Cootehill Road (R188), or the Ballybay Road (R162), may do so via Dublin Street, Macartan Road

Traffic coming from the South, via Dawson Street, wishing to access Dublin Street, may do so via North Rd (N54)

Taxi Rank outside of Courthouse to be temporarily relocated to the North Road alongside the DV8 premises

Local and emergency services access will be catered for at all times.

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Roads Closed:    R181-3 Castleblayney Main Street from Market Square up to the Roundabout, R938 York Street from the traffic lights up to the Junction with the LT-75066 Thomas Street and the LT-75065 at Market Square

 Diversion Routes:

Traffic wishing to proceed onto R181-3 (Castleblayney Main Street) from the R938 (York Street) will be diverted right onto the LT-75066 (Thomas Street), left onto the LT-75065 (Henry Street).

Traffic wishing to proceed onto R181-3 (Castleblayney Main Street) from the R183-15 (Monaghan Road) will be diverted onto the LT-75064 (McGrath Road), right or left onto the R181-3 (Muckno Street).

Traffic wishing to proceed onto R181-3 (Castleblayney Main Street) from the R181-4 (Shercock Road) will be diverted onto the LT-75064 (McGrath Road), right onto the R181-3 (Muckno Street).

Date:                   Monday 26^th September until Friday 28^th October 2022

To Facilitate:      Road Resurfacing Works

Roads Closed:    R212 in the Townlands of Teehill, Clonkeen (Lucas), Cloncurrin, Clonmore, Kilcumber, Corcummins, Hilton Demesne and Corconnelly

 

Diversion Route:

Traffic wishing to proceed on the R212 from the R212 will be diverted along the LP 2222/ LP2221/ LP2220, left onto the R189 and then Left onto the R183

Traffic wishing to proceed on the R212 from Clones will be diverted along the R183 then turn right onto the R189, right onto the LP 2222/ LP2221/ LP2220

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Traffic wishing to travel on the R-180 from Ballybay town in the direction of Lough Egish will be diverted onto the R-162, then turning left at the T-junction and continuing along the R-162, then turning left onto the R-181 and continuing towards Lough Egish crossroads.

Traffic wishing to travel on the R-180 from Lough Egish in the direction of Ballybay town will be diverted onto the R-181 at Lough Egish crossroads, then turning right onto the R162, then turning right at the T-junction and continuing along the R162 to Ballybay town.

 All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Monaghan County Council gives notice of intention to close the following road in the Municipal District of Carrickmacross/Castleblayney in County Monaghan:

Date of Closure:               Monday 12^th September 2022 to Friday 23^rd September 2022 (24 hr closure)

 To Facilitate:                      Bridge Rehabilitation Works.

 Roads Closed:                    R-182-1 in the Townlands of Annyart/Lurganmore Co. Monaghan

 

Division Route:

Traffic wishing to travel on the R-182-1 from Frankford bridge in the direction of Newtownhamilton will be diverted by remaining on the R-181-2 at Derrygreevy bridge to the Northern Ireland border, then continuing along the B32/B3 to Keady town, then turning right on to the A29, then continuing along the A29 to Newtownhamiliton. For traffic wishing to continue to Oram, they will be diverted to turn off the A29 onto the A25 and continue along this road until the Northern Ireland border, then continue along the R182.

 Traffic wishing to travel from the Townland of Lurganmore to Castleblayney will be diverted by following the R182 to the Northern Ireland border, then continue on the A25, then turn left on to the A29 to Newtownhamiliton, then continue on the A29 to Keady, then turn right on to the B3 and continue along the B3/B32 to Castleblayney.

 All Detours will be signposted to direct the traffic. (R-182- Local Access only, no through road at the Bridge Works between Frankford bridge and the junction of the R182/L-76003 at the Nest Box Egg factory).

 

Any interested person may lodge an objection in writing to closing the above-mentioned road with the A/Senior Engineer of Roads, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan, not later than Tuesday 23^rd August 2022. Traffic wishing to travel on the L-4210 (east of the R180) and then towards Lough Egish will be diverted onto the L-4200, then turning right onto the R-181 and continuing to Lough Egish crossroads.

 Traffic wishing to travel on the L-4210 (west of the R180) and then towards Lough Egish will be diverted onto the L-8200, then continuing on the L-8201, then turning left onto the R-181 and continuing to Lough Egish crossroads.
