Road Works Speed Limit Order

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the Road Traffic Act 2004 Section 10 (1) of the Council’s intention to put in place Special Speed Limits for Road Works on the road listed below in the Municipal District of Monaghan. The speed limits are being put in place in the interest of road safety to facilitate roadworks.

Temporary Closing of Roads – Emergency Closure – LT62011 Lislea to Lislongfield Road

Monaghan County Council gives notice to extend the following road closure in the Municipal District of Ballybay/Clones in County Monaghan:

Date & Time:  From Friday 29th July 2022 to Friday 12th of August 2022 24hrs per day

 To Facilitate: Replacement of damaged road culvert/bridge and the legislative requirements associated with carrying out said works.

Traffic wishing to proceed on the LT-23312 from Rockcorry Village will be diverted onto the R188, Right onto the LT63202, then Right onto the LT-63201

Traffic wishing to proceed on the LT-23312 from the T Junction at Tanmacnally will be diverted onto the LT-63202, then turn Left onto the R188

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Traffic wishing to proceed on the LT-81011 from the LS-8101 will be diverted onto the LS-8101, then straight onto the LS-8100, then right onto the N2-2, then right onto the LS-8152 and then right onto the LT-81521.

Traffic wishing to proceed on the LT-81011 from the LT-81521/LS-8152 will be diverted left/straight onto the LS-8152, then left onto the N2-2, then turn left onto the LS-8100 and then straight onto the LS-8101.

 To Facilitate:                    Bridge Rehabilitation Works.

 Roads Closed:                    L-4043 in the Townlands of Shantonagh/Tooa Co. Monaghan

 

Division Routes: –

Traffic wishing to travel on the L-4043 from Shantonagh village in the direction of Bocks Lower will be diverted by remaining on the R-181-8 at the Tullynamalra crossroads, then turning left onto the L-4005, then continuing along the L-4005, then turning left on to the L-4011, then turning right on to the L-4042.

Traffic wishing to travel on the L-4043 from Bocks Lower in the direction of Shantonagh village will be diverted by turning left off the L-4042 onto the L-4011, then turning right onto the L-4005, then continuing along the L-4005, then turning right on to the R-181-8.

All Detours will be signposted to direct the Traffic. (L-4043 Local Access only, no through road at the Bridge Works).

Any interested person may lodge an objection to closing the above-mentioned road with the A/Senior Engineer of Roads, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan, not later than Tuesday 2nd of August 2022.
