Roads Closed: LT-23312 in the Townland of Boyher

Alternative Routes.
Traffic wishing to proceed on the LT-23312 from Rockcorry Village will be diverted onto the R188, Right onto the LT63202,
then Right onto the LT-63201.
Traffic wishing to proceed on the LT-23312 from the T Junction at Tanmacnally will be diverted onto the LT-63202, then turn Left
onto the R188.

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).
Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned road with the Roads Department,
Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Wednesday 2nd November 2022. Any

Night Time Temporary Closing of Roads – N2 Castleblayney Bypass – from the townland of Kilcrow (N2 Clontibret Roundabout) to the townland of Tullyvin (N2 Tullyvin Roundabout).

Monaghan County Council intends to close the following road in the Municipal Districts of Carrickmacross-Castleblayney,
Ballybay- Clones and Monaghan in County Monaghan.

Dates of Closure: Monday 14th November 2022 until Saturday 19th November 2022 and
Monday 21st November until Thursday 24th Novemer

Road Closed: N2 Castleblayney Bypass – from the townland of Kilcrow (N2 Clontibret
Roundabout) to the townland of Tullyvin (N2 Tullyvin Roundabout).

Times: 7.30pm – 6am

To Facilitate: Topographical Surveying & Pavement
Investigations.

Diversion Routes: South East Diversion- From the N2 Clontibret Roundabout, take the R184, then travel south east along the Old N2
(LP3444), through Annayalla Village and Castleblaney Town (R183,R181), then access the N2 via the N53.
North West Diversion- From the N2 Tullyvin Roundabout, take the N53 into Castleblayney Town. Travel north west
through Castleblayney taking the R181 & 183, then continue north west along the Old N2 (LP3444). Then access the N2 via
the R184 at the N2 Clontibret Roundabout.

Diversions will be in place for the duration of the closure.

Every effort will be made to minimise delays.

Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned roads with the Head of Roads, Monaghan

Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994 that it will close the following road in the Municipal District of Ballybay Clones in

To Facilitate: Replacement of damaged road bridge and the legislative requirements associated with carrying out said works.

Alternative Routes:
Traffic wishing to travel on the L-6141 from the L-6140 in the direction of the townlands of Drumcaw/Boughill will be diverted
by remaining on the L-6140, then turning left onto the L-2152. Traffic wishing to travel on the L-6141-0 from the L-2152 in the
direction of the townland of Aghnaskeas will be diverted by remaining on the L-2152, then turning right onto the L-6140.
All Detours will be signposted to direct the Traffic. There will be no through road at the bridge location

From Clones via the R-183 O’Duffy Street, continue to junction with N54 and turn right onto N54 for Monaghan, continue straight
on N54 to junction with R189 Threemilehouse/ Newbliss and turn Right onto R189, continue on R189 to Newbliss.
From Newbliss: Continue along R189 towards Threemilehouse/Monaghan to junction with N54, turn left at Junction with N54 and continue to traffic lights in Clones, turn left at Junction onto R183 O’Duffy Street. At the next junction turn left for Newbliss

Road Traffic Notice – Installation of a Pedestrian Crossing on the R179 at Cloughvalley Upper Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan.

Section 38 Legislative Procedure for Traffic Calming Procedures under the Road Traffic Act 1994
Under the Road Traffic Act 1994 (As Amended)

A road authority may, in the interest of the safety and convenience of road users, provide such traffic calming measures as they consider desirable in
respect of public roads in their charge.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994 (As Amended) of the following scheme:
Installation of a Pedestrian Crossing on the R179 at Cloughvalley Upper Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan. The proposed scheme will consist of:

  •  Installation of a new Pathway along the inbound lane of
    the R179
    • Installation of a Pedestrian Crossing
    • Relocation of all affected 3rd party utilities where
    required along the length of the scheme.
    • Accommodation Works to all Associated Landowners.
    • Installation of Drainage pipework where required.
    • All associated site works.

In accordance with Section 38 of the above-mentioned legislation, Monaghan County Council, as the competent roads authority has concluded that the above scheme complies with relevant section of the legislation, based on the nature, size and location of the proposed scheme.

Plans and particulars of the proposed scheme are available for inspection at the offices of the Road Section, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Armagh Road, Monaghan and also at Carrickmacross-Castleblayney MD Office, Carrickmacross Civic Offices, Riverside Road, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan during office hours from
the 27th October 2022.

Submissions and observations in relation to the proposed works, may be made in writing to the Roads Section, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Armagh Road, Monaghan or MD Offices up to 5pm onMonday 24th of November 2022.
