Update your Citizenship on the Register of Electors

During the Referendum that took place on 25th May it was brought to our attention that there were a number of Local (L) voters and Dáil (D) Voters who were not able to vote. Some of these voters are Irish Citizens but hadn’t notified Monaghan County Council of their change in status. You can update your status to a Presidential elector by completing a RFA5 form which can be downloaded from www.checktheregister.ie or www.monaghan.ie and forwarding a copy of your Irish passport or a copy of the Certificate of Naturalisation under the Nationality and Citizenship Act 1956 to:

Register of Electors Section,
Monaghan County Council,
County Offices
The Glen,
Monaghan
H18 YT50

This will mean that you will be registered to vote in all future elections and referenda.
