Temporary Closing of Roads – Road Closed: L-6310 in the townlands of Mullymagaraghan, Aghabog and Corduff.

Monaghan County Council gives notice to extend the following road closure in the Municipal District of Ballybay/Clones in County Monaghan:

Date:                                Friday 28th July 2023 to Friday 18th August 2023 (24 hr closure)

To facilitate:                    Bridge Rehabilitation Works

Road Closed:                    L-6310 in the townlands of Mullymagaraghan, Aghabog and Corduff.

 

Diversion Routes:

Traffic wishing to travel on the L-6310 from the L-2311 will be diverted by remaining on the L-2311/L-2310, then turning left onto the R-189, then turning left onto the L-63101 and continuing to the L-6310.

Traffic wishing to travel on the L-6310 in the direction of the L-2311 will be diverted by turning left onto the L-63101, then turning right onto the R-189, then turning right onto the L-2310 and continuing to the L-2311

 

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access will be catered for. No through road will be available at the bridge works).

Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District of Ballybay/Clones in County Monaghan:

Date:     Between Monday 31st July 2023 and Friday 10th November 2023

(Road may be closed for a maximum of 3 weeks within the Closure Period)

To Facilitate:      Road Improvement Works

 

Road Closed:

LT-40052 for a distance of 2km between its junctions with the LP-4005 at Coraghy and the LT40054 at Faraghy.

Diversion Routes:

Northbound traffic travelling from Faraghy to Coraghy will be diverted East along the LT40054 to the junction with LT40051 at Sreenty and turn left onto the LT40051.  Traffic will continue North along the LT40051 to the junction with the LP4005 at Coraghy.  Traffic will turn left and continue West along the LP4005 to its junction with the LT40052 at Coraghy.

Southbound traffic travelling from Coraghy to Faraghy will be diverted East along the LP4005 to the junction with the LT40051 at Coraghy.  Traffic will turn right and proceed South along the LT40051 to the junction with the LT40054 at Sreenty.  Traffic will turn right and continue West along the LT40054 to its junctions with the LT40052 at Faraghy.

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Night Time Temporary Closing of Roads – N2 Castleblayney Bypass – from the townland of Moy Otra (Clontibret Village) to the townland of Tullyvin (Tullyvin Roundabout).

Monaghan County Council wishes to remind motorists that the following road will be closed in the Municipal Districts of Carrickmacross-Castleblayney, Ballybay- Clones and Monaghan in County Monaghan as advertised in the Irish Independent on 26th January 2023.

 

Dates of Closure:           Sunday 16th July 2023 – Friday 21st July 2023                                          

Times:                               9pm – 6am 

Road Closed:                   N2 Castleblayney Bypass – from the townland of Moy Otra (Clontibret Village) to the townland of Tullyvin (Tullyvin Roundabout). Closure will be implemented on one direction only at any point in time.

To Facilitate:                    Verge Maintenance, Drainage Maintenance, Litter Picking and Response Repairs

 

Diversion Routes:           Main Diversion via Old N2 (LP3444) at Clontibret Village through Annayalla Village and Castleblayney Town, then accessing the N2 via the

N53 and vice versa. Diversions will be in place for the duration of the closure.

Every effort will be made to minimise delays.
