Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal Districts of Carrickmacross-Castleblayney, Ballybay- Clones and Monaghan in County Monaghan.

 

Dates of Closure:            Thursday 26^th January 2023 until Friday 27^th January 2023                                           

Road Closed:                    N2 Castleblayney Bypass – from the townland of Kilcrow (N2 Clontibret Roundabout) to the townland of Tullyvin (N2 Tullyvin                               Roundabout).

Times:                                7.30pm – 6am 

To Facilitate:                    Pavement Investigations.

 

Every effort will be made to minimise delays.

Monaghan County Council gives notice of its intention to close the following road in the Municipal District of Carrickmacross-Castleblayney in County Monaghan:

Date: Monday 23rd January 2023 to Friday 27th January 2023
To Facilitate: Reservoir upgrade works

Roads Closed: LS-8400 in the Townland of Toome

Diversion Routes:
Traffic wishing to proceed Northbound past the Reservoir will be diverted back on the LS-8400, Left on the LP-4410 and Left on the LS-8400.

Traffic wishing to proceed Southbound past the Reservoir will be diverted back on the LS-8400, Right on the LP-4410 and Right on the LP-8400.

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned road with the Roads Department, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Tuesday 10th January 2023. Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”.

Monaghan County Council gives notice to extend the following road closure in the Municipal District of Ballybay/Clones in County Monaghan:

 

Date:                   From 23^rd December 2022 to 23^rd March 2023 (24 hr closure)

To Facilitate:     Windfarm Construction works

Roads Closed:    LT-62013 for its full length from its junction with the LS6210 & LT62013

 

Diversion Route:

Traffic wishing to travel from the R-189 to the L-6201 shall be diverted from the junction of the L-6210/L-62013 in the Townland of Cornawall by remaining on the L-6210, then turning left on to the L-6201.

Traffic wishing to travel from the Townland of Drumgramph to the R-189 in the Townland of Doohat shall be diverted onto the L-6201, then turning left onto the L-2232, then turning left onto the L-2290 and continuing to the R-189.

Diversion Routes:

South bound traffic travelling on the R-186-4 and the LP-1012-0 wishing to turn right onto the LT-16102-0 towards Ballinode will be diverted straight ahead onto the R-186-4 then right onto the LP-1610-0 towards Ballinode

South bound traffic travelling on the LT-20001-0 wishing to turn right onto the LT-16102-0 towards Ballinode will be diverted left onto the LT-16102-0 then right onto the R-186-4 then right onto the LP1610-0 towards Ballinode

West bound traffic travelling on the LP-1610-0 wishing to turn left onto the LT16102-0 will be diverted straight ahead onto the LP-1610-0 then left onto the R-186-4 then left onto the LP-16102-0

Traffic coming from the South, via Dawson Street, wishing to access Dublin Street, may do so via North Rd (N 54)

Taxi Rank outside of Courthouse to be temporarily relocated to the North Road alongside the DV8 premises

Under Section 93 of the Road Traffic Act 1961 as amended and the Road Traffic Signs Regulations 1997, No. S.I. 182 of 1997 article
17, Monaghan County Council hereby gives notice of applying a 3.5t Weight Restriction at the bridge identified as MN-L6310-
B-020 in the Townlands of Mullymagaraghan and Corduff on the L-6310 road in the Municipal District of Ballybay/Clones in
County Monaghan.

Date of commencement of the proposed Weight Restriction: Thursday, 3rd of November 2022, until such time as further notification is provided and the RUS 053, 3.5t Regulatory signs are removed from the bridge location.

Bridge Location: L-6310-0 in the Townlands of Mullymagaraghan and Corduff Co. Monaghan

Road Closed: N2 Castleblayney Bypass – from the townland of Kilcrow (N2 Clontibret

Times: 7.30pm – 6am

To Facilitate: Topographical Surveying & Pavement Investigations.

Diversion Routes:
South East Diversion: From the N2 Clontibret Roundabout, take the R184, then travel south east along the Old N2 (LP3444),
through Annayalla Village and Castleblayney Town (R183,R181), then access the N2 via the N53. North West Diversion: From the N2 Tullyvin Roundabout, take the N53 into Castleblayney Town. Travel north west through Castleblayney taking the R181 & R183, then continue north west
along the Old N2 (LP3444). Then access the N2 via the R184 at the N2 Clontibret Roundabout

Diversions will be in place for the duration of the closure. Every
effort will be made to minimise delays.
