Monaghan County Council gives notice to extend the following road closure in the Municipal District of Ballybay/Clones in County Monaghan:

Date:      From 23rd June 2022 to 23rd September 2022 (24 hr closure)

 To Facilitate:      Windfarm Construction works

 Roads Closed:    LT-62013 for its full length from its junction with the LS-6210 & LT-62013

 Diversion Route:  Traffic wishing to travel from the R-189 to the L-6201 shall be diverted from the junction of the L-6210/L-62013 in the Townland of Cornawall by remaining on the L-6210, then turning left on to the L-6201.

Traffic wishing to travel from the Townland of Drumgramph to the R-189 in the Townland of Doohat shall be diverted onto the L-6201, then turning left onto the L-2232, then turning left onto the L-2290 and continuing to the R-189.

Monaghan County Council gives notice of its intention to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan:

Date of Closure:               Saturday 23rd July and Sunday 24th July 2022

 

Times:                                   From 12.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m.

 

To Facilitate:                     Monaghan Summer Movie Festival

 

Road Closed:                     R867 – Church Square, Monaghan – from Rossmore Monument to Church Square

                                        LS5515 – Lower Mill Street

 

Diversion Routes:            Diversions from Emyvale to Ballybay, Clones, Cootehill will be via the N2 bypass to the Dublin Road and R937 Macartan Road

Local access to the town centre and the Courthouse car park will be via Dublin Street, Macartan Road and Castle Road.

 

Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above mentioned roads with the A/Senior Engineer, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Tuesday 28th June 2022.  Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”.

Roads Closed:   LP4814 in the Townlands of Rahans and Descart

 

Alternative Routes.

Traffic wishing to proceed on the LP-4814 from the LP-4813 will be diverted right onto the LT-88313, then turn right onto the LS-8831, then turn left onto the LT-48161, then turn left onto the LP-4815

Traffic wishing to proceed on the LP-4814 from the LP-4815 will be diverted right onto the LT-48161, then turn right onto the LS-8831, then turn left onto the LT-88313

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Monaghan County Council gives notice to extend the following road closure in the Municipal District of Ballybay/Clones in County Monaghan:

Date & Time:  From Friday 29th April 2022 to Friday 29th July 2022 24hrs per day

 To Facilitate: Replacement of damaged road culvert/bridge and the legislative requirements associated with carrying out said works.  

 Roads Closed: LT62011 Lislea to Lislongfield Road

 Alternative Routes: Diversions will be via the LS6201 and the LT22311. All detours will be signposted to direct the traffic.

Legislative Procedure for Traffic Calming Procedures under the Road Traffic Act 1994

 Under the Road Traffic Act 1994 (As Amended) A road authority may, in the interest of the safety and convenience of road users, provide such traffic calming measures as they consider desirable in respect of public roads in their charge.

 Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994 (As Amended) of the following scheme:

 Installation of a Cycle path & Uncontrolled Pedestrian crossings, on the R183-15 Monaghan Road, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan.

The proposed scheme will consist of:

  • Installation of a new Cycle Path adjacent to the outbound lane of the R183-15 terminating at the Ballybay Rd interchange.
  • Traffic Calming Measures I.e. Road Narrowing
  • Installation of new road markings.
  • Installation of uncontrolled pedestrian crossings.
  • Installation of cycleway and motorist segregation measures adjacent to the inbound and outbound lanes.
  • Erection of new signage and landscaping throughout the scheme.
  • Relocation of all affected 3rd party utilities where required along the length of the scheme.
  • All associated site works.

In accordance with Section 38 of the above-mentioned legislation, Monaghan County Council, as the competent roads authority has concluded that the above scheme complies with relevant section of the legislation, based on the nature, size and location of the proposed scheme.

Plans and particulars of the proposed scheme are available for inspection at the offices of the Road Section, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Armagh Road, Monaghan during office hours from the 31st of March 2022.
