Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan:

Date of Closure:  Between Thursday 2^nd November 2023 and Thursday 30^th November 2023 (Each Road may be closed for a maximum of 1 week within the Closure Period) 

Times:                               9:00am – 18:00pm (Monday-Friday Only)                                                              To Facilitate:                   Road Improvement Works

Road Closed:                   LP-2010

Diversion Routes:

Northbound traffic travelling on the R186 wishing to proceed towards Scotstown from Ballinode will be diverted straight ahead towards Tydavnet on the R186, then left onto the LP1020 in Tydavnet, then straight ahead onto the LP2000 towards Scotstown.

Eastbound traffic wishing to travel towards Ballinode from Scotstown will be diverted north onto the LP2000 towards Tydavnet, then straight ahead onto the LP1020, then right onto the R186 towards Monaghan, then right onto the LP1610 towards Ballinode.

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Date:    Between Thursday 2^nd November 2023 and Friday 24th November 2023 (24 hr closure)

To Facilitate:     Road Improvement Works

Road Closed:

L-21501 at Magherarny for a distance of 350 metres from junction of L-21501 with N54 to the junction of L-21501 with L-2150.

Diversion Routes:

Westbound traffic will be diverted along the N54 towards Smithborough, then turn right onto L-2150

Eastbound traffic will be diverted along L-2150 towards the N54, then turn left onto the N54

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

L-31006 Loch Mor Avenue, Ballybay for a distance of 600 metres from No.1 Loch Mor Avenue to No. 64 Loch Mor Avenue.

Westbound traffic will be diverted along R162 Lower Main Street, R162 Main Street, R183 Castleblayney Road, L-34033 Knappagh and Loch Mor Avenue.

Eastbound traffic will be diverted along Loch Mor Avenue, L-34033 Knappagh, R183 Castleblayney Road, R162 Main Street and R162 Lower Main Street.

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

L-2800 Lower Fermanagh Street & Church Hill for a distance of 530m from junction of Lower Fermanagh Street with R183 Newtownbutler Road and R183 98^th Avenue to junction of Church Hill with Riverlane & Millbrook Upper.

Diversion Routes:

Northbound traffic will be diverted via Newtownbutler & Magheraveely along R183 Newtownbutler Road, A34 Clones Road, B143 Magheraveely Road, B143 Dummys Lough Road, L21002 / L-28001 Lisnaroe Road and Millbrook Upper.

Southbound traffic will be diverted via Magheraveely & NewtownbutlerNotice along Millbrook Upper, L21002 / L-28001 Lisnaroe Road, B143 Dummys Lough Road, B143 Magheraveely Road, A34 Clones Road and R183 Newtownbutler Road.

Monaghan County Council intends to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan.

Dates of Closure:            06/11/2023 to 24/11/2023 Monday to Friday                                            

Roads Closed:                 R162 Glen Road from its junction with the L1412 Mall Road to the N54 Traffic Lights and the N54 Dawsons Street from its junction with the R867 (Dinkins) to the N54 Traffic Lights.

Times:                               8.00pm – 6.00am.

To Facilitate:                   Road Pavement Rehabilitation Works.

 

Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned road with the Head of Roads, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than 24^th October 2023.  Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection to Road Closure”. Roads Closed:

• Fermanagh Street between N54 and 98 Avenue (R183)
• Lower Fermanagh Street between Rosslea Road junction and 98 Avenue (R183)

 Diversion Routes

Fermanagh Street, Clones:

Traffic wishing to travel on Fermanagh Street (R868) shall divert at the junction of Newtownbutler Road/Fermanagh Street/98 Avenue onto 98 Avenue(R183). Turn right at the traffic lights onto Monaghan Street(N54) and continuing to the end of the diversion at The Diamond, Clones.

Lower Fermanagh Street, Clones:

Northbound traffic wishing to travel on Lower Fermanagh Street (LP-2800) shall divert at the junction of Newtownbutler Road/Fermanagh Street/98 Avenue onto 98 Avenue(R183). Turn left at the traffic lights onto the N54 Monaghan Road. After 2.5km turn left on the LP-2120 (New Line) road. Travel to end of the road and turn left on the LP-2110 (Clones-Roslea Road). Diversion ends at the end of road with the junction of Church Hill (LP-2800)

Southbound traffic wishing to travel on Lower Fermanagh Street (LP-2800) shall divert onto the Roslea Road (LP-2810). After 3 km turn right on the LP-2120 (New Line) road. Travel to the end of the road and turn right on the N54 (Monaghan-Clones Road). At the traffic lights, turn right onto 98 Avenue (R183). Diversion ends at the traffic light junction of Newtownbutler Road/Fermanagh Street/98 Avenue.
