GLASLOUGH VILLAGE
PREPARATION OF ARCHITECTURAL CONSERVATION AREA STATEMENT OF CHARACTER
PUBLIC CONSULTATION
Tuesday 26th September 2017
at 7:00 p.m.
The Oakland Centre, Glaslough

The Monaghan County Development Plan 2013 – 2019 sets out an objective to protect the built heritage fabric of Glaslough village through the designation of an Architectural Conservation Area (ACA) and to establish, where appropriate, special planning controls for ACAs if it is considered that all or part of an ACA is of significant importance to the character of the village.
Monaghan County Council has appointed consultants, Lotts Architecture and Urbanism Ltd., to prepare an Architectural Conservation Area Statement of Character for the village of Glaslough. The ACA Statement of Character will identify the village’s unique character, landscape and historic core so that it can be understood and so that further development and evolution of the village can be undertaken in a way that enhances the distinctive qualities of the village.
You are invited to a public consultation event where the consultant will deliver a presentation on Glaslough’s unique architectural character and will invite your contributions in the preparation of the ACA Statement of Character.
Public Consultation: Tuesday 26th September 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Oakland Centre, Glaslough. All welcome.
