Arising from continued high pressure dominated weather patterns a high fire risk is deemed
to exist in all areas where hazardous fuels such as dead grasses and shrub fuels such as
heather and gorse exist.

Significant fire activity has been observed in recent days. Current ignition risks appear to be
strongly associated with burning of vegetation on areas used for turf cutting with additional
upland burning also observed.

Fire behaviour and rates of spread are likely to be reduced by lower wind speeds during the
first half of this warning lifespan. Northerly airflows during the second half may exhibit
humidity levels below 50% RH, with higher wind speeds. While some rainfall is forecast in
coming days, this may not reach into all areas and may not have a significant impact on
fuels in all locations. Wind speeds may exceed 20km/h is some areas at times and higher
wind speeds will increase fire suppression requirements in affected areas.

Pending significant rainfall, this risk condition will remain in place until 1200hrs on Friday, April 01,
2022 unless otherwise stated by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
