Following the sad passing of Councillor Seamus Coyle, Monaghan County Council has opened Books of Condolence to allow members of the public to express their sympathy and remember a dedicated public representative who served the people of Monaghan with commitment and distinction.
The Books of Condolence will be available from 2.00 pm today, Tuesday 18thAugust, and will remain open until Friday 28th August at the following locations during normal office opening hours:
- Monaghan County Council, The Glen, Glen Road, Tirkeenan, Monaghan
- Ballybay-Clones Municipal District Office, The Diamond, Clones, Co. Monaghan
- Carrickmacross-Castleblayney Municipal District Office, Civic Offices, Riverside Road, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan
A Book of Condolence will also be available in Ballybay Branch Library, Birch Court, Main Street, Ballybay from 11:00 am tomorrow, Wednesday 19th August during normal Branch opening hours.
For those who are unable to attend in person, an online Book of Condolence is also available, where members of the public may leave a message of sympathy and remembrance.
A Special Meeting of Monaghan County Council will be held on Wednesday, 19th August, to allow Members formally record their sympathy and pay tribute to Councillor Coyle’s dedicated public service.
Monaghan County Council extends its sincere condolences to Councillor Coyle’s family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time.
