Monaghan County Council wishes to advise the public of a change in the publication of Council notices and statutory advertisements.
Following the closure of The Northern Standard, which published its final edition on 18 December 2025, arrangements have been put in place to ensure the continued publication of important public information.
From January 2026, all statutory notices, advertisements, and public notifications from Monaghan County Council are published in The Anglo Celt.
The Anglo Celt is published every Wednesday, with the first issue carrying Monaghan County Council notices published on 7 January 2026. This newspaper will now serve as the Council’s primary channel for the publication of statutory notices and public advertisements.
Members of the public are encouraged to consult The Anglo Celt each week for planning notices, public consultations, and other important Council information. The Council will also continue to provide updates through its website and official social media channels.
