COUNTY MONAGHAN (REGULATION AND CONTROL OF THE CONSUMPTION OF INTOXICATING SUBSTANCES IN PUBLIC PLACES) BYE-LAWS 2020

 

Notice is hereby given that the members of Monaghan County Council have adopted the County Monaghan (Regulation and Control of the Consumption of Intoxicating Substances In Public Places) Bye-Laws 2020 pursuant to the provision of Section 199(1) and (2) and in accordance with Part 19 of the of the Local Government Act 2001.

The purpose of the Bye-Laws is to regulate and control the consumption and possession of intoxicating substances in all public places in County Monaghan.   Provision is made within the bye laws for the imposition of fixed payment notices in accordance with Section 206 of the Local Government Act 2001.

The Bye-Laws came into effect on the 10th February 2020.

The Bye-Laws are available for public inspection/collection at the offices of Monaghan County Council, The Glen, Monaghan or can be downloaded here:
