Notice of the Preparation of the
Draft Monaghan County Development Plan 2025-2031
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 12(1)(b) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended), that Monaghan County Council has prepared, in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned Act, a Draft Monaghan County Development Plan for the period 2025-2031.
The Council has also prepared a Strategic Environmental Assessment Environmental Report in accordance with the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 as amended by S.I. No. 201 of 2011 Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 and a Natura Impact Report (Stage 2 Appropriate Assessment) in accordance with Article 6(3) of the Habitats Directive. These Reports along with the Strategic Flood Risk Assessment are contained as Appendices to the Draft Plan.
Availability for Inspection
The Draft Monaghan County Development Plan 2025-2031 (Written Statement, Appendices and Maps), will be on public display from Thursday 5th September 2024 to Thursday 14th November 2024, inclusive, and is available to view at https://monaghan.ie/planning/monaghan-county-development-plan-2025-2031/

Submissions or Observations
Submissions or observations with respect to the Draft Monaghan County Development Plan 2025-2031 (Written Statement, Appendices and Maps) are invited from members of the public and other interested parties and may be made in writing to the Planning Authority from Thursday 5th September 2024 until 5pm on Thursday 14th November 2024 (inclusive). Submissions or observations can be made via the following options:

Submissions or observations should be made by one medium only and must include the full name and address of the person making the submission or observation and a map if applicable.
Written submissions or observations received during the period stated above will be taken into consideration before the making of the Monaghan County Development Plan 2025-2031.
The deadline for receipt of submissions or observations is 5pm Thursday 14th November 2024.
Please note LATE submissions/observations will not be considered.

PUBLIC INFORMATION EVENTS
