Biodiversity

The Biodiversity Officer is responsible for the development and implementation of the County Monaghan Biodiversity Action Plan. The position of Biodiversity Officer and the implementation of the Biodiversity Action Plan are jointly funded by the Heritage Council and Monaghan County Council with additional funding provided under the Local Biodiversity Action Fund from the National Parks and Wildlife Service. The Local Authority Heritage Programme, Connection, is delivered in partnership between the Heritage Council and Local Government Ireland.
