Local Enterprise Office Monaghan announces plans for ‘Local Enterprise Week’ March 4th-8th 2019
Running from March 4th to 8th, Local Enterprise Office Monaghan will be celebrating ‘Local Enterprise Week’with a range of events for start-ups, aspiring entrepreneurs and small businesses in the area.
The focus of Local Enterprise Week is to increase awareness of the wide range of Local Enterprise Office supports and services available to micro and small enterprises.
One of the highlights of Local Enterprise Week in County Monaghan will be our flagship seminar on Wednesday 6th March, An Economic Forecast with Dr Vincent Power from A&L Goodbody, who will examine what Brexit might mean for Monaghan businesses. As a partner in the firm specialising in EU las, EU & Irish competition/antitrust law, merger control, regulatory law and transport law, this gives him a unique perspective on all matters related to Brexit. This will be followed by a Q&A session with a panel of experts in the field of customs, product supply chain and people movement. This is a free event , but places are limited so booking is essential.
Another highlight of the week will be when we are joined by Imen McDonald and Cliodhna Prendergast from Lens & Larder on Monday 4th March, who will deliver a hands-on workshop on food photography and styling. This masterclass will give participants the skills to take mouth-watering pictures of their produce with their smartphones for use on social media. Places are limited so early booking is advised.
John McEntegart, Head of Enterprise at LEO Monaghan said that, “Local Enterprise Week was the ideal ‘shop window’ to show the wide range of supports on offer to start-ups, sole traders and small businesses in Monaghan”. He also said; ” Local Enterprise Week, which takes place from March 4th to 8th, is a collaboration on a local and national scale between LEOs, local business communities, Government Departments, other untis within Local Authorities and State support agencies. We hope these events will inspire and motivate hundreds of entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs in County Monaghan.
