An Cathoirleach of Monaghan Municipal District, Cllr David Maxwell, is glad to announce that the St Patrick’s Day Parade will go ahead this year and invites all interest groups/individuals and businesses to take part in the planning of the Monaghan Town St Patrick’s Day Parade.

Temporary Closing of Roads
Monaghan County Council gives notice of the following road closure in the Municipal District of Ballybay/Clones in County Monaghan:
Date & Time: Monday 7th February 2022 to Saturday 30th April 2022
To Facilitate: Bridge Replacement and Road Works.
Road Closed: L-4210 in the townlands of Lisduff, Brackly, Greagh, Drumlane and Tullynahinnera Co. Monaghan
Diversion Route: Traffic wishing to travel on the L-4210 in the direction of the R-180 will be diverted onto the L-4200, then turning right on to the R-181, then turning right on to the R-180 at the Lough Egish crossroads.
Traffic wishing to travel on the L-4210 in the direction of the R-181 will be diverted by remaining on the R-180 to the Lough Egish Crossroads, then turning left on to the R-181.
All Detours will be signposted to direct the Traffic. (L-4210 Local Access only, no through road at Bridge Works).
This notice complies with the Roads Act 1993 (Section 75)

Road Works Speed Limit Order
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the Road Traffic Act 2004 Section 10 (1) of the Council’s intention to put in place Special Speed Limits for Road Works on the roads listed below in the Municipal District of Ballybay/Clones. The speed limit is being put in place in the interest of road safety to facilitate roadworks.

Monaghan County Council gives notice of its intention to close the following road in the Municipal District of Ballybay/Clones in County Monaghan:
Date & Time: Between Monday 14th of February 2022 and Friday 7th of October 2022
To facilitate: Road Improvement Works
Roads closed:
- R183 Newbliss to Swanns Cross Road: For a distance of 2815m between its junction with the LT23401 and LP2311: Lisdarragh, Drumgriston, Feagh, Drumate
- R162 Ballybay to Monaghan Road: For a distance of 3467m North from its junction with the R184 to its junction with the LT25021: Corfad, Monantin, Lantaur, Creevagh, Aghnaclea, Caddagh, Annamacneil
- LP3110 & LP3111 for a distance of 4290m from its junction with the LP4210 and its junction with the LP3101: Creeve, Roo, Aghakista, Annahaia, Carrickatee, Tossy
- LT28001 & LT21002 for a distance of 1188m from its junction with the LP2800 at Millbrook to the Northern Ireland Border: Lisseggerton, Lisnaroe Near
- LP2411 for a distance of 1411m from its junction with the LT24112, Latnamard and its junction with the LP2411 Drumhillagh: Latnamard, Dooskey
- LS6120 for a distance of 2184m from its junction with the N54 and its junction with the LP2111: Edenaforan, Mullanacloy, Longfield, Lisoarty, Aghafin
All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times). Each Road may be closed for a maximum of 2 weeks within the Closure Period
Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned road with the A/Senior Engineer, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Tuesday 1st February 2022. Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”.
