Temporary Closing Of Roads

Monaghan County Council gives notice to extend the following road closure in the Municipal District of Carrickmacross/Castleblayney in County Monaghan:

Date & Time: –    From 6pm Wednesday 27th November 2019 to 6pm Tuesday 3rd December 2019

 

To Facilitate:

Resurfacing works on the adjacent N2.

Roads Closed: –

LP4710 Junction with the N2.

 

Diversion Route: –

Access to N2 – Via L5151 (Ballyregan to Killanny), then L5150 (Killanny to Tullyraine), then L8701 (Tullyraine to Mullaghmacateer) and then L4922 (Mullaghmacateer to Clonturk) for access to N2.

Access to LP4810 – Via L4922 (Clonturk – Mullaghmacateer), then L8701 (Mullaghmacateer to Tullyraine), then L5150 (Tullyraine to Killanny) and the then L5151 (Killanny to Ballyregan) to access to LP4810.

 

This notice complies with the Roads Act 1993 (Section 75)

Northbound – Via LP4811 (Leeg to Killark), then LT8801 (Killark to Halftate), then LT8810 (Halftate to Mullaghmacateer) and then LP4922 (Mullaghmeen to Clonturk) for access to N2.

Southbound – Via LP4922 (Clonturk to Mullaghameen), then LT8810 (Mullaghmacateer to Halftate), then LT8801 (Halftate to Killark) and then LP4811 (Killark to Leeg).

(Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Built Heritage Investment Scheme 2020

 

Monaghan County Council is now inviting applications under the Built Heritage Investment Scheme (BHIS).

 

Overview

The BHIS seeks to encourage the investment of private capital in a number of small scale, labour intensive projects to repair and conserve historic structures and to support the employment of skilled and experienced conservation professionals, craftspeople and tradespersons. The scheme is designed to assist the owners and/or occupiers of structures/properties that are protected under the Planning and Development Act.  It will be administered by Monaghan County Council’s Planning Section.

 

Eligibility?

The categories of structures/properties eligible for funding under this scheme are:

 

  • Protected Structures
  • Proposed Protected Structures
  • Structures/properties in Architectural Conservation Areas

 

What funding is available?

The minimum funding award under this scheme will be €2,500, up to a maximum of €15,000.

Successful applicants will be required to, at a minimum, match their funding award. The overall allocation for County Monaghan is €60,000.

 

Pilot Scheme for Routine Maintenance and repair works

 

In 2020 the Department is piloting a “micro grant scheme” for works of routine maintenance and minor repairs, which were not previously eligible for funding under the BHIS scheme. The maximum award for any such  project(s) will be €2,500 .

Historic structures fund 2020

Monaghan County Council is now inviting applications under the Historic Structures Fund (HSF).

Overview

The primary focus of the Historic Structures Fund is on conservation and enhancement of historic structures and buildings for the benefit of communities and the public.  It aims to enable conservation works to be carried out on heritage structures which are deemed to be significant and in need of urgent support.  The scheme is designed to assist the owners and/or occupiers of structures/properties that are protected under the Planning and Development Act.  It will be administered by Monaghan County Council’s Planning Section.

 

Eligibility?

The categories of structures/properties eligible for funding under this scheme are:

  • Protected Structures
  • Proposed Protected Structures
  • Structures/properties in Architectural Conservation Areas

 

What funding is available?

Stream 1 (€15,000 up to €50,000) for essential repairs and smaller capital works. Maximum grant award 80% of eligible costs

Stream 2 (€50,000 up to €200,000) for larger enhancement, refurbishment or reuse projects

Successful applicants will be required to, at a minimum, match their funding award.In exceptional circumstances a higher percentage may be sought, subject to a max of 80%.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 81(1) of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended) for development at 12 Church Street, Ballybay, Co. Monaghan

                                                                                                                                   

 

The proposed development consists of the following:

 

  1. Demolition of existing fire damaged residential property,
  2. Erection of temporary structural support to the adjoining buildings,
  3. Construction of 2no. two-bedroom, two storey townhouses,
  4. Connection to public sewers and mains water supply,
  5. Erection of boundary walls to the rear of the townhouses and all associated site works.
