Online Public Consultation Event to review Visioning Report for Lough Muckno Estate, Castleblayney
Monaghan County Council in conjunction with Fáilte Ireland has recently engaged with Terry Stevens and Associates, International Tourism Consultants, to prepare a Visioning Report for Lough Muckno Estate, Castleblayney and the surrounding area. The results of this report will shortly be available for review as part of a public consultation process.

Notice under Section 17(3) (a) of the Derelict Sites Act, 1990 (as amended)
NOTICE OF HAVING MADE A VESTING ORDER, UNDER THE DERELICT SITES ACT 1990, AS AMENDED
Notice is hereby given that Monaghan County Council (hereinafter referred to as the “Local Authority”), in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 17 of the Derelict Sites Act 1990, as amended, has made a Vesting Order, under the said Act, the derelict site described hereunder.
The lands referred to is a derelict site within the meaning of the Derelict Sites Act 1990 (as amended by the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2015) (hereinafter called ‘the Act’)
A copy of the order and map of the said derelict site has been deposited at the Planning reception of Monaghan County Council, County Offices, The Glen, Monaghan, and may be inspected there during public opening hours.
The Local Authority in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 17 of the Act, hereby order that the land described hereunder shall, on 29th day of August 2021, vest in the Local Authority in fee simple free from encumbrances and all estates, rights, titles and interests of whatsoever kind.

Derelict site at Annalore Street/McCurtin Street, Clones, Co. Monaghan, comprising of one to three-storey L-plan former hotel and terrace of three no. two-storey houses, bounded to the north, east and west by public roads and to the south by Abbey Church and Graveyard (Area: 618 square metres).

Monaghan County Council hereby gives notice to extend the Emergency Closure in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994 the following road in the Municipal District of Clones/Ballybay in County Monaghan:

Road Closed: L-3120 Creeve/Carrickatee
Diversion Routes:
Traffic wishing to travel on the L-3120 in the direction of Ballybay town will be diverted by remaining on the L-3130, then turning right on to the L-3101.
Traffic wishing to travel on the L-3120 in the direction of Carrickatee will be diverted by remaining on the L-3101, then turning left on to the L-3130.
All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access Only, No through Road at Bridgeworks).

To Facilitate: Bridge Rehabilitation Works.
Roads Closed: L-22632-0 in the townland of Killynenagh Co. Monaghan
Diversion Route:
Traffic wishing to travel on the L-22632 from the townland of Magherashaghry in the direction of the townland of Coppanagh/Lisarney will be diverted onto the L-2262, then turning left on to the L-22621, then turning left on to the L-6280, then continuing on the L-6008.
Traffic wishing to travel on the L-22632 from the townland of Coppanagh/Lisarney to the townland of Magherashaghry will be diverted by remaining on the L-6008, then continuing on the L-6280, then turning right on to the L-22621, then turning right on to the L-2262
All Detours will be signposted to direct the Traffic. (L-22632 Local Access only, no through road at the Bridge Works).

R-184-1 in the townlands of Aghnameal/Kilcrow/Glasdrumman West Co. Monaghan
Diversion Route:
Traffic wishing to travel on the R-184 to Scotch Corner will be diverted onto the R-184 at the Clontibret Roundabout, then turning right on to the L-3444/L-3443/L-3442 to Annyalla, then turning right on to the L-3400 to Cremartin, then turning right on to the L-3411 and continuing on the L-3420/L-3421 to Scotch Corner.
Traffic wishing to travel to Clontibret from Scotch Corner on the R-184 will be diverted on to the L-3421, then continuing on the L-3420/L-3411 to Cremartin, then turning left on to the L-3400 to Annyalla, then turning left on to the L-3442, then continuing along the L-3442/L-3443/L-3444 to Clontibret.
All Detours will be signposted to direct the Traffic. (R-184-1 Local Access only, no through at Bridge Works).

Monaghan County Council gives notice of its intention to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan:
Date of Closure: 30th August 2021 to 30th September 2021 (9.30am to 4.00pm)
To Facilitate: Road Improvement and Junction Upgrade Works
Road Closed: L1155 – N2 Tirnaneill Junction
Diversion Routes:
N2 northbound traffic wishing to travel on the L-1150 from the townland of Tirnaneill in the direction of the townland of Drumhillagh/Legacurry will be diverted along the N2, then turning left on to the L-1170, then turning left onto the L-1155.
N2 southbound traffic wishing to travel on the L-1150 from the townland of Tirnaneill in the direction of the townland of Drumhillagh/Legacurry will be diverted along the N2, then turning right on to the L-16302, then turning right onto the L-5181 and continuing on to the L1155.
All Detours will be signposted to direct the Traffic.
Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned roads with the Head of Roads, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Tuesday 10th August 2021. Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”.
