Monaghan County Museum is located in the state-of-the-art Peace Campus in Monaghan Town, and offers a dynamic programme of exhibitions and events that bring the County’s rich history to life.
Over the past 50 years, the Museum has amassed an impressive collection of over 50,000 artefacts of local and national significance.
The Peace Campus is a safe space where everyone is welcome. The Museum’s collection is a physical expression of that experience over thousands of years. This area has been a borderland for millennia. A place where people from different cultures have met and found a way to live together, to grow, to learn and to thrive. We embrace that ideal in the museum and we strive to tell that story to as wide an audience as possible and in doing so deepen the appreciation of our shared heritage, our shared story.
