Notice of incorporation of the County Monaghan Retail Development Strategy 2016-2022 into the Monaghan County Development Plan 2013 -2019 (incorporating the Development Plans for the towns of Monaghan, Carrickmacross, Castleblayney, Clones and Ballybay) – Variation No.2

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 13 of the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2010 that on 7th March 2016 Monaghan County Council made a variation (Variation No. 2) to the Monaghan County Development Plan 2013 – 2019 (incorporating the Development Plans for the towns of Monaghan, Carrickmacross, Castleblayney, Clones and Ballybay). The proposed variation provides for the incorporation of the County Monaghan Retail Development Strategy 2016 – 2022 to comply with Retailing Objective RTO8 of the Development Plan, to ‘Review the Retail Development Strategy for County Monaghan during the plan period 2013-2019.’

Reason: To comply with the requirements to prepare a county retail development strategy in accordance with the DECLG Guidelines for Planning Authorities Retail Planning.
