Strategic Environmental Assessment
A strategic environmental assessment was carried out during the preparation of the Monaghan County Development Plan (incorporating the Development Plans for the Towns of Monaghan, Carrickmacross, Castleblayney, Clones and Ballybay) for the period 2013-2019 on the likely significant effects on the environment of implementing the new plans. A Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Statement summarising how, environmental considerations have been integrated into the plans; how the Environmental Report, the submissions/observations made to the planning authority, and the consultations carried out have been taken into account in preparing the plans; the reasons for choosing the plans; and the monitoring of the significant environmental effects of the implementation of the plans is available for inspection at the places set out above. Appropriate Assessment
An Appropriate Assessment was carried out during the preparation of the Monaghan County Development Plan (incorporating the Development Plans for the Towns of Monaghan, Carrickmacross, Castleblayney, Clones and Ballybay) for the period 2013-2019.
