Monaghan County Council is proposing to introduce measures to restrict the movement of HGV’s (Heavy Goods Vehicles) through Main Street, Carrickmacross between the hours of 8am to 5am Monday to Sunday.  These restrictions will apply only to vehicles of 3-axle or greater.  Under these measures Monaghan County Council can issue permits for exemption to the restrictions under section 35 of the Road Traffic Act, 1994 as amended by Section 26 of the Roads Traffic Act, 2004 (44 of 2004).

A map outlining the restricted area will be on public display at the Civic Offices, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan for one month from the 12th of March, 2020 or can be obtained in digital format by request from carrickmacross@monaghancoco.ie
