Temporary Closing of Roads – Roads Closed: LP4921 and LP4922 in the Townlands of Mullaghmacateer and Clonturk

Monaghan County Council gives notice of its intention to close the following roads in the Municipal District of Carrickmacross-Castleblayney in County Monaghan:

 

Date:                   Monday 25th July 2022 to Friday 5th August 2022

To Facilitate:      Road Resurfacing Works

Roads Closed:   LP4921 and LP4922 in the Townlands of Mullaghmacateer and Clonturk

 

Diversion Routes:

Traffic wishing to proceed on the LP-4921 from Carrickmacross will be diverted onto the R927, then straight onto the N2 heading South

 

Traffic wishing to proceed on the LP-4922 from the N2 will continue along the N2 and will be diverted onto the R-927

 

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

 

Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned road with the Roads Department, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Tuesday 5th July 2022.  Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”.

LS5515 – Lower Mill Street

Diversion Routes:
Diversions from Emyvale to Ballybay, Clones, Cootehill will be via the N2 bypass to the Dublin Road and R937 Macartan Road
Local access to the town centre and the Courthouse car park will be via Dublin Street, Macartan Road and Castle Road.

Monaghan County Council DRAFT Road Traffic (Special Speed Limits) (Regional and Local Roads) County of Monaghan Bye-Laws (No.1) 2022

Monaghan County Council in exercise of the powers conferred upon them under section 9 of the Road Traffic Act (No. 44) 2004 as amended, has prepared the above named Draft Bye-Laws.  The purpose of these Bye-Laws is to introduce special speed limits on designated sections of Regional and Local roads throughout County Monaghan.

A copy of the Draft Bye-Laws is available for public inspection, during normal office hours from Thursday 23rd June 2022 until Friday 22nd July 2022 at the following locations:

  • Monaghan County Council, Roads Section, Mtek 11 Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan.
  • Monaghan Municipal District, County Council Offices, The Glen, Monaghan.
  • Carrickmacross/Castleblayney Municipal District Offices, Civic Offices, Riverside Road, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan.
  • Ballybay/Clones Municipal District Office, Monaghan Road, Clones, Co. Monaghan.

The Draft Bye-Laws  may also be viewed on the website of Monaghan Co. Council www.monaghancoco.ie and on www.speedlimits.ie .

Observations and submissions to the Draft Bye-laws as published, may be made in writing and submitted to Administrative Officer, Monaghan County Council Roads Section, Mtek 11 Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan by 4.00 pm on Friday 22nd July 2022.

Temporary Closing of Roads – LP-1413 (Plantation Road) This road will be closed to the west at the Junction with the North Road (N54-8) and to the East at the Junction with Glaslough Street (N54-10)

 Times:                                  9am – 6pm

To Facilitate:                     Monaghan Garda Station Open Day

 Road Closed:                     LP-1413 (Plantation Road)

This road will be closed to the west at the Junction with the North Road (N54-8) and to the East at the Junction with Glaslough Street (N54-10)

Diversion Route:              Westbound traffic will be diverted Via Glaslough Street (N54-10),

turning right onto the Diamond (R867-1) then right onto North Road (N54-8)

Eastbound traffic will be diverted Via North Road (N54-8) then Right onto Glaslough Street (N54-10)

Buses/HGV’s travelling Southbound on N2 and Westbound on N12 intending to travel North on Plantation Road (LP-1413) towards Monaghan Bus Station to be diverted at Coolshannagh Roundabout towards Annahagh roundabout, then take 2nd exit towards Corlat Roundabout. At Corlat roundabout take 2nd exit onto Dublin Road (R937) then 1st exit at Old Cross Square onto Broad Road. Turn right at the junction of Broad Road and Dawson Street onto Dawson Street and continue straight onto North Road

Buses/HGV’s travelling Northbound on N2 towards Corlat Roundabout intending to travel North on Plantation Road (LP-1413) towards Monaghan Bus Station to be diverted at Corlat Roundabout onto Dublin Road (R937) then 1st exit at Old Cross Square onto Broad Road. Turn right at the junction of Broad Road and Dawson Street onto Dawson Street and Continue Straight onto North Road

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Monaghan County Council gives notice to extend the following road closure in the Municipal District of Ballybay/Clones in County Monaghan:

Date:      From 23rd June 2022 to 23rd September 2022 (24 hr closure)

 To Facilitate:      Windfarm Construction works

 Roads Closed:    LT-62013 for its full length from its junction with the LS-6210 & LT-62013

 Diversion Route:  Traffic wishing to travel from the R-189 to the L-6201 shall be diverted from the junction of the L-6210/L-62013 in the Townland of Cornawall by remaining on the L-6210, then turning left on to the L-6201.

Traffic wishing to travel from the Townland of Drumgramph to the R-189 in the Townland of Doohat shall be diverted onto the L-6201, then turning left onto the L-2232, then turning left onto the L-2290 and continuing to the R-189.
