Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan:

Date: Between Monday 13th May 2024 and Friday 7th June 2024

(The Road will be closed between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 within the Closure Period)

To Facilitate: Road Improvement Works

Road Closed:

LP 2000 from Scotstown village to junction with the L1012

L2012 at the junction with the LP2000

Diversion Routes:

Northeast bound traffic from Scotstown will be diverted along L2010 to Ballinode, continue straight through Ballinode onto the L1610, then diverted left onto the R186 and proceed north to the junction of L1020.

Southwest bound traffic from Tydavnet will be diverted south on the R186, then diverted left onto the L1610 towards Ballinode, continue straight through Ballinode onto the L2010 and proceed west to Scotstown.

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Monaghan County Council gives notice of its intention to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan and Ballybay  Clones in County Monaghan:

Date:     Between Monday 20th May 2024 and Friday 31st  May 2024

(The Road will be closed between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 within the Closure Period)

 

To Facilitate:      Road Improvement Works

Road Closed:

R184 at Scotch Corner for a distance of 100m in either direction on the L3300

L3300 at Scotch corner for a distance of 100m in either direction on the R184

 

Diversion Routes:

Northbound traffic travelling from Castleblayney on the N2 will be diverted straight up the N2 heading towards Monaghan, then traffic will continue straight onto the R937 Dublin Road, and then turn Left onto N54 Broad Road, then left again onto the R162 and proceed south on the R162 to the junction of the L1500. Southbound traffic on the L3320 will be diverted straight onto the R184, then diverted right onto the R164 and continue North to Monaghan, then turn right onto N54 Broad Road, right again onto the R937 Dublin, then diverted straight on the N2 and proceed south to the junction of L3410

R184 traffic travelling towards the N2 will be diverted along the R162 to Monaghan and join onto the same diversion as above and vice versa.

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned road with the Roads Department, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Tuesday 7th  May 2024.  Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”.

Monaghan County Council hereby gives notice of Emergency Closure in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994 that it will close the following roads throughout County Monaghan

Date:                    Week Commencing 29th April for a four week period (roads will be closed for short periods at a time from 29th April to 31st May 2024)

Eastbound traffic approaching from Dawson Street (N54-8) will be diverted straight ahead onto the North Road (N54-8) then right onto Glaslough Street (N-54-10) then continue straight onto Dublin Street (N54-9)

Eastbound traffic approaching from Mill Street (LS-5515) will be diverted left at the junction of the North Road (N54-8) onto the North Road (N54-8) then right onto Glaslough Street (N-54-10) then continue straight onto Dublin Street (N54-9)

Southbound Traffic  (Killeevan bound)

  • Divert at Magherarny onto the N54 Clones Road. Turn left at Stonebridge Presbyterian Church and continue straight to Killeevan Cross

Road Closed:                    LP-3002-0 Derrygoony to Money Road in the Townland of Derrygoony and Corvackan

 

Diversion Routes:

Traffic wishing to travel on the L-3002 from the L-3001 in the direction of the townland of Derrygoony will be diverted by turning left on the L-7030, then turning right onto the L-7040.

Traffic wishing to travel on the L-3002 from the L-8000 in the direction of the townland of Drumod will be diverted by turning right on the L-7040, then turning left onto the L-7030.

All Detours will be signposted to direct the Traffic. There will be no through road at the bridge location.

Diversion Routes:

An alternative route will be signed with traffic being diverted via:

Traffic travelling north will be diverted on to the N54 national road, taking the first exit onto the N2 national road, then a left turn onto Cluain Ard (L16302)

Traffic travelling south will be diverted on to Cluain Ard (L16302), taking a right on to the N2 national road, and taking the third exit on to the N54 national road.
