Temporary Closing of Roads – LT-14021

Monaghan County Council gives notice of its intention to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan:

Date of Closure:              Monday 4th March 2024 – Friday 30th August 2024

Times:                                8am -7pm

To Facilitate:                     Drainage Works and Road resurfacing 

Road Closed:                    LT-14021  (“Roads will be closed for a three week period during this advertised closure period to all of the ads.”)

 

 

Diversion Routes:

Traffic wishing to proceed Southbound on the LT-14021 will be diverted West via the LT-14201 and then South on the LP-1420 and then diverted in the townland of Coolmuckbane and then proceed East on the LP-1401 back to the LT-14021.

Traffic wishing to proceed Northbound on the LT-14021 will be diverted West on the LP-1401 and in the townland of Coolmuckbane and then be diverted North on the LP-1420 and then proceed East via the LT-14201 back to the LT-14021.

Any interested person may lodge an objection in writing to the closing of the above-mentioned roads with the A/Senior Engineer, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Tuesday 20th February.  Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”.

Municipal District of Monaghan – Road Works Speed Limit Order

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the Road Traffic Act 2004 Section 10 (1) of the Council’s intention to put in place Special Speed Limits for Road Works on the roads listed below in the Municipal District of Monaghan. The speed limits are being put in place in the interest of road safety to facilitate roadworks.

LP-1152, then via the LP-1151, then via the LP-1153, then via the LP-1160 on to the N2.

Traffic wishing to proceed Northbound on the R-186-3 will be diverted via the

LP-1020, then via the LP-1012 and then via the R-186 to Monaghan Town.

Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan:

Date of Closure: 22/02/24 – 23/02/24   

Times: 9:30am – 16:00 hrs         

To Facilitate: Repair to Eir Duct network on Coolshannagh Road.            

Road Closed: LS-5182

 

Diversion Routes:

Northbound traffic

Traffic wishing to proceed North on the LS-5182 at Coolshannagh will be diverted Northbound via the N54 towards the Coolshannagh roundabout, then traffic should take the first exit onto the N2 Northbound and proceed North to Kilnadreen and turn left onto the LT-16302, and then proceed Westbound to Mullaghmore East and then turn left onto the LS-5182, local access provided up to riverside estate.

 

Southbound traffic

Traffic wishing to proceed Southbound LS-5182 at Mullaghmore East junction will be diverted Eastbound on the LT-16302 to Kilnadreen and then traffic should turn right via N2 and proceed Southbound via Coolshannagh Roundabout and take the 3rd exit left via Monaghan Town and travel Southbound on the N54 to Coolshannagh Road.

Diversion Routes:

Northbound Traffic  (Monaghan Town bound):

Diverted at Corfad by turning right onto the R184 in the direction of Clontibret.

At Corvoy, continue straight onto the LP-3311 in the direction of Ardaghy. Continue straight on the LP-3310 – LP-3320 – LP-1501.

Continue straight through Ardaghy in the direction of Monaghan Town onto the LP-1500.

Diversion Ends in Tamlet (near T Martin Fuels) at the end of road with the junction of the R162 (Ballybay – Monaghan Road).

 

Southbound Traffic  (Ballybay bound):

Diverted at Tamlet (near T Martin Fuels) by turning left onto the LP-1500 in the direction of Ardaghy.

Continue straight through Ardaghy in the direction of Tullycorbet on the LP-1501. Continue straight on the LP-3320 to LP-3310 to LP-3311 to R184 in the direction of Ballybay.

Diversion Ends in Corfad at the end of the R184 with the junction of the R162 (Ballybay – Monaghan Road).

Temporary Closing of Roads – National Primary Road N12, from Coolshannagh to Silverstream

Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal Districts of Monaghan in County Monaghan.

 Dates of Closure:            February 1st 2024 to February 2nd 2024 inclusive.

Road Closed:                     National Primary Road N12, from Coolshannagh to Silverstream.

Times:                                09.00am – 17.00pm. 

To Facilitate:                     Topographical Surveying & Pavement Investigations.

 

Diversion Routes:           Eastbound Diversion- travel south from the Coolshannagh roundabout along the N2 to its junction with the N54 (Corlat Roundabout), then east along the N2 to its junction with the R214 (Castleshane), then north along the R213 to its junction with the N12. End of detour.

Westbound Diversion – Above route in reverse.

Diversions will be in place for the duration of the closure.

Every effort will be made to minimise delays.

Local access will be provided.
